My name is Sarah and I own one dog named Bruce. He is beyond spoiled and loves his afternoon naps, walks, and night time snuggles. I have taken care of dogs for over 4 years, including dealing with one dog after surgery. I have many years of experience pet sitting for family members and friends. Bruce is a very friendly companion and often helps doggy visitors feel more comfortable and have a great play-cation.

Typically Bruce goes out with me in the morning on a walk, then I head off to work. While I am not there, he has a pet cam that notifies me when he barks and it has the ability to throw treats to him. Around 1pm, the dog walker comes and takes Bruce on an hour long adventure down the river bank right outside of my building. Shortly after that, I am home and he goes on another walk before stopping by the dog store in the building to pick up his favorite bone. Rest of the night we usually spend relaxing on the couch and chewing away at bones and playing with toys.

I absolutely adore dogs! Dogs have consistently been in my life ever since I was a small child, which has gifted me with a great deal of compassion and understanding for dogs of all breeds, ages, sizes, and temperaments. Aside from owning a dog of my own- who I have rehabilitated from fearing all people to being well balanced and social with strangers- I have a great deal of experience through dog sitting and walking jobs, groomer training, providing dog training, foster care, and volunteering at shelters.

Service is customized based on request, behavior and needs.

Generally, dogs have free range of the town house unless recommended/requested otherwise. Behavior such as excessive aggression, incontinence, or marking territory may result in having periods of restricted movement within the home as appropriate.

For animals with aggression problems, muzzles are required for walks and socialization training is available. Lots of love, patience, and understanding is here for them!

There are three parks located very near to the house that provide safe and interesting outings for dogs during walks.

It is asked that owners bring their own treats and dog food to support their dietary habits.

My experiences with dog sitting have all been a success and I can assure you that I'm responsible and reliable with your home and your pets. I'm excited to meet new challenges and opportunities and hope we're the right fit for each other. I've worked many jobs but found the one passion that I look forward to working everyday, you learn new things and expand your carrier and knowledge every time you gain a new experience.
My career plan is to put myself through dog training school with a little help. I have a passion for training dogs and also learning from them as well. I hope to one day train dogs to work with people who have disabilities. To start that I will need certification. Right now I'm dog sitting on the side and doing dog walking for friends and family along with neighborhood friends. The funds will go directly to my schooling and would be greatly appreciated in the long run.

I am a individual who runs a very small care services business located in Grand Rapids, however I am willing to travel. I am here for when you are on vacation, work or you simply need the extra hand. In bonus of walking, sitting and caring for your pets, I am able to house-sit from a short period of time up to a total of 2 months; in the past, when clients have been away for long stays, I often include homecare services at no charge, this seems to be a well-loved addition to my services. Urban Tails believes all animals are social animals who thrive best in their own home and environment and are happier if walked and played with throughout the day, versus being crated or boarded. Urban Tails will provide individualized services with the care and love you expect for your pet. I specialize in leisure walks and steady, fast paced walks. I have special walks for seniors and overweight dogs. I do not do dog running. Play is involved in my walks. I walk up to 2 dogs at a time. I firmly believe that to give the attention needed for each individual dog, a limit of two dogs is best. I also use a GPS tracking device on pets when outdoors. I do provide harnesses if the dogs regular collar is not a proper fit. I provide organic, natural treats (if dog is allowed treats) for being good and following instructions. For my visits with cats, I include laser tag and catnip bubble play as well as cat massage. If you are gone for an extended time, I will check the mail, take out the trash, water indoor plants, and turn lights off and on. A free report card come with every visit. I am bonded and insured. Certified in pet CPR and First Aid.

I'm a 22 year old female who absolutely adores dogs. I am comfortable taking care of any breed and any age. My only requirement is that they are not aggressive towards humans. I have been taking care of dogs since before I can remember since my family has had a dog my whole life. I have been doing in home dog sitting for the last 5 years. I love all animals of all ages! I have been around animals since I was small, My Parents always had at least two dogs while we were growing up. I also have had one dog ( 6 years) and one cat( 4 Years). I love animals and taking care of them. I have had large dogs all my life and believe a good dog is a walked dog.

Hey there! I have grown up in this area and would love to get a little bit more dog time than I currently do. I have 1 male rescue Husky (Yukon- 3 yrs), and recently had 1 female Chihuahua/Shi-Tzu (Lucy- 10 yrs) who passed. I also currently have a big fluffy orange tabby cat that I absolutely adore. I grew up with a total of 3 cats. I have also had fish on and off over the years.

I feel very comfortable around dogs, even ones that may come off as mean and/or aggressive (my Husky's face is pretty intimidating). I believe every dog has a soft spot somewhere. I love taking dogs on walks, running in large fields, or kicking a ball around. As I'm typing this I am missing my animals more & more!
