Why settle for just part time care from providers with other jobs?

Last minute okay - I will p/u!
I'm home days running a dog walking service, walking dogs at midday and
providing playtime for my dogs & yours. Why rely on sitters who work during the day when your pet can have full time attention? I'm just a few blocks from the new dog park in Silver Spring and take mine on weekends. (I know how to handle and supervise.)
Two parks are nearby so your pet will get plenty of exercise. Located in downtown Silver Spring for easy p/u and dropoff. Near the beltway Georgia Ave. or Colesville Rd. exits. if you're coming from the airport to p/u your pet it's very convenient.
My car has crates in the back, a sunroof & pop-up rear window for safe and convenient transport of your pet. (Pets should be restrained in the back seat of cars, or crated, for safe transport, according to experts.)
I have several years' experience and great references.
I trained as a vet's assistant, interned w/a couple of vets & am pet first aid certified by the Red Cross. I'm a former legal assistant (BS in legal studies) who understands the responsibilities of pet ownership & care. Your pet is safe with me.
Serving Silver Spring, Takoma Pk, NW DC, Bethesda. Rates may vary by distance. Free pickup for boarding & available until 10:00 p.m. at end of stay for your convenience. See your pet the same day you return, unlike at kennels and daycares. (Which typically charge much more & aren't as safe for your beloved pet.)
I can accommodate those living farther out (e.g. Rockville, Germantown, or downtown DC) for boarding of three days or longer.
In discussing rates please be aware dogvacay gets 15%. For example, for a one week petsit their referral fee might be $50. Therefore sitters have to set rates that make it worthwhile to supervise & care for your pet 24/7.
It's still a great deal compared with the alternative of high priced, crowded and potentially unsafe doggie daycares. I have worked with three dogs that became ill after a stay at a doggie daycare. Your vet will tell you they're safer at a private home than in a group facility where they're exposed to many germs and possibly parasites.
A few tips:
Please do a Meet 'n Greet request instead of just emailing as it speeds up the process. Leaving out your pet's vet records at the beginning of a petsit just in case of emergencies is a good idea.
Please let me know if your pet(s) have any housebreaking issues so I can take precautions such as more frequent walks, pee pads, gates, whatever.
Also please inform me if your pet has separation anxiety or becomes carsick when traveling. It's also essential to know if pet has resource guarding issues i.e. food, toys etc. so I can supervise them more closely.
I have plenty of dog beds and crates so no need to provide them. Please make sure flea/tick meds are up to date and if not use at least 24 hrs. before drop-off. It helps to know what brand of food your pet eats in case we run out.
If your dog needs a bath & trim I can have him looking spiffy when you return.("Puppy cuts" only, i.e. fluffy, no show trims.)
Have a good vacay!
