My name is Elle. I am a teacher and care for pets in my free time. I have always had a love for animals and after having a dog for many years, I have decided to take care of pets for others. I have a lovely home in Thousand Oaks with plenty of room and an outside area in the backyard. Your pet will be well taken care of and I am very nurturing. A typical day includes three walks a day and lots of play time. There are no restrictions and I am very accommodating to any special requests you have. I'm ready today to come to your house to watch your dog(s)! This may be an option you haven't considered yet. Many times clients prefer that, especially if their dog is elderly, gets nervous, or has special needs. I've done pet sitting at many clients homes, and can provide references. I'm happy to address any other concerns or questions you have about in-home pet sitting. SoCal is the perfect area for long walks, hikes, beach trips, or a visit to the dog park. Let's get started!

I love all animals, having received my BS in Wildlife Biology, and have worked with Wildlife Rehabilitation centers. I've done dog bathing in the past, as well, at a salon for several years. After being around dogs for so long I have really gotten to know breed temperaments and know how to treat your dog just right. I have worked with both elderly and disabled pets, and have no issues with administering medication.

And I LOVE BIG DOGS in case that has been an issue for you!

NOTE: I love cats and have one of my own in addition to my dog! I offer cat sitting as well as dog sitting! I'm happy to stay at your house or visit your kitty while you're away.

I've had dogs, cats and various other pets all my life. I started taking responsibility for the family pets at a very young age and I have had many different species and breeds of pets over the years. I have been a full-time petsitter/dog walker and dog-walked for several months and have proven dedication, patience and compassion toward animals. One dog I've cared for is extremely challenging- he is extremely protective and loyal of his owner and doesn't get along well with other people or animals, but with a lot of patience, training (and treats!), I got him to trust me and was able to walk him without a problem. I'm reliable and responsible and care for all animals as if they were my own. I currently have 2 cats and 1 dog (mixed breed rescue from Mexico), and volunteer with Baja Dog Rescue in La Gloria Mexico, and with other animal shelters and rescue organizations. I have been a vegetarian/vegan for over 16 years because I love and respect all animals.

1)I am friendly and outgoing so I get along well with animals and their owners.

2)I am calm so I can handle dogs well and won’t make them nervous or feel shy and scared.

3)I am healthy so long walks will be fun for me but I won’t go too fast or vigorous and tire out the dog but they will get their needed exercise.

4) Overnight stay is for a 24 hours period , please, after that a daily charge will be applied, thanks.

I began rescuing pets when I was a small child. I have rescued elderly dogs as well as puppies and given them a lifelong loving home. I have been concerned with the wellbeing of all animals my whole life. I started working at a pet and grooming store when I was 16 and learned about quality grooming and pet supplies early on. I have been the proud companion of many types of animals besides dogs including horses, small and large birds, cats and reptiles. Living with, loving, training and protecting animals is a lifelong value of mine. My present dog, Kismet is a trained therapy dog that visits hospitals and schools and loves people and pets to play with. Kismet is also trained in agility and set ready for commercials and film work. Our home on more than 1 acre of fenced property allows us plenty of exercise with a beautiful view and freedom to romp. My pets are indoor animals who get a lot of outdoor supervised play and time as I am athletic and an endurance runner and I love the outdoors.


*Dogs are able to be indoors and outside on 1 acre at anytime. All dogs are fully supervised at all times and never alone.

All dogs must be:
- housebroken fully
- spayed/neutered
-Up to date on shots
- with recent flea treatment
-not aggressive and friendly with other pets

Please note:
-One night overnight boarding includes one 24 hour period of care. 24 hours from drop off time to pick up time. A second day is charged after 24 hours unless prior arrangements have been made and agreed upon.
