Hi! My name is Sara and I love dogs.
My ground floor apartment is perfect for all of my four-legged friends . There are a bunch of soft places for any sized pup to get comfy, access to the private backyard and a ton of space to play inside and outside.
Dog handling is in my blood. My grandmother was a breeder and trainer for Guide Dogs of America. Thanks to that, I am experienced working with very young pups and pregnant dogs. I also have pet sat long-term, for both large and small dogs some older and with specific instructions and medication.
I have had three dogs in my life, a dalmatian, lab/setter mix, and lab/pit mix.
My father is a professional dog trainer and I learned everything I know from him working at his dog training/boarding business in California.
I also currently have my own dog, a pug/chihuahua mix named Sadie. I adopted her in November and this is her terrain even though she will totally share. Because of this, I would ask NOT to book with me if your dog is not fixed. I do not want to put my dog through that.
Currently I work at a long-standing doggy daycare facility located in Manhattan and in Brooklyn. Primarily it is small breeds that are under thirty pounds but I have trained big dogs for three years and there are up to sixty-pound breeds in Brooklyn. Many of these dogs come to daycare because they have special needs, anxiety, or disciplinary issues so I can handle some stinkers. Big, small, old, young, pure bred or mixed, I love them all.
My hours are flexible for meet and greets, and I can work out either morning or evening pickups and drop offs for your baby within a mile of my home for an extra fee.
My boyfriend Joe lives with me and is a dog lover too. He is home whenever I am not so your pet will not ever be lonely!
I am always guaranteed to be available after 7pm on weekdays. Weeknight boarding will ensure an evening walk, dinner, movie cuddles, a bed of choice, and a next morning walk. And don't worry, you can be a part of the fun too! Dog parents will also receive a photo via text or email of their dog's stay.
Joe and I usually do fun things on weekends. If your pup stays then, we would go to the farmer's market and then the dog park to throw the ball. He or she may even join us for brunch when the weather is nice :) If he or she likes the outside, my private backyard would be perfect when the afternoon sun hits and warms the long grass. Dinnertime and movie cuddles obviously end the lovely day. If your dog is afraid of stairs or cannot be carried up them, this is not the place for them. My house is entirely made of stairs, you cannot enter or exit without walking on stairs.
Baths and tidies are available by request and for an additional fee.
Dog food must be provided for the duration of the stay or will be provided for an additional fee. Treats are complementary :)
