As a professional dog groomer for many years, I am very much familiar with most dog breeds and their temperaments.
My love and dedication towards animals stem from growing up with a family who loved and respected animals, When I was eighteen years old, I began volunteering at a veterinarian clinic in New York. There I learned to work alongside a team of dedicated animal lovers. That was the first step towards a long career in the animal field. Eventually, I ended up working in the grooming sector in a very upscale grooming salon in the heart of New York City in Manhattan where I learned hands-on how to groom the different breeds, and became a proficient dog groomer. I am currently a member of the National Association of Dog Groomers, and certified in Pet CPR & First Aid. Because I believe in professionalism, I regularly take workshops and review training material in order to stay competent in the animal care field.
Because I am a genuine animal lover, my personality allows me to cuddle and play with pets without reserves. I have no problem getting a lick in the face and that is quite often one of my rewards when at the grooming table :).
My goal is to provide your dog with a comfortable, fun, pet-friendly environment, so that you can go enjoy your much-needed vacation with a real peace of mind, knowing your best friend is in excellent hand, and having as much fun as you.
About my home: My home is very cozy, clean and pest free. I have a few designated areas within my home to accommodate your small to medium pet needs and have plenty of toys to keep them busy. All toys are sanitized every night and ready for the next round. I have an indoor as well as an outdoor play area that's perfect for small to medium dogs, which means that rain or shine your dog will have opportunities for running and playing. Since I no longer have under-age children your pets are guaranteed my full and undivided attention. All dog assigned areas in my home are air conditioned and spacious. My husband Sergio assists in the evenings by emptying water bowls and replacing with fresh water and taking the dogs out for their evening walk.
About our resident pets: Our dog Rainstorm, a Weimaraner pup (12 month-old), is well socialized and does extremely well with dogs of all sizes and breeds. Your dog, however, will not be in the same area with my weimaraner, but instead will have his/her own exclusive cage-free area to claim as own.
Polo, my other pooch, is a sweet heart of a poodle who loves to play with other dogs. During playtime, I may allow my dogs and yours to mingle and play together, depending on the temperament of your dog, and the actual size. Of course, all accommodation decisions are made with your consent.
I look forward to meeting you and taking care of your best friend just as if he or she was my very own. Don't hesitate any longer, book now! Your dogs will thank you with a big slobbery kiss and a wag of the tail.
