Although it pains me to spend more dealing with this, I feel it's important I do so others aren't duped like we were: 1) We did NOT try to pick up our dog at midnight (see below review). We contacted Steven as soon as we landed and got back to our car--at 7:24pm. We hoped to pick her up immediately but offered our flexibility in timing since Shanty seemed to be going out of town (??) that night and Steven was driving her to the airport. Steven told us we could pick our dog up after he dropped Shanty off and assured us he would tell us as soon as he left the airport so we could meet him when he arrived back. We said that was fine. We waited around for 4 hours. Finally at 11:29pm he said he was home but it would be too late for us to pick her up. That was the end of it. 2) In addition to not receiving our food bowl and doggy bag holder, our dog's crate and blankets (which were requested by Shanty) were completely SOAKED in urine. Our dog is 100% housebroken and crate-trained. She has no problem holding her bladder for 8+ hours. This is indication to me that Shanty kept our dog in the crate for excessive periods of time. This is disgusting. 3) Shanty is absolutely unprofessional and engaged in borderline harassment after my initial negative review. She sent berating text messages, calling me a “bitch” and “cheap” (?). She should be permanently removed from Rover.com. To all other dog owners: Keep your dogs away from this person.
