About Tonya

I am currently a student so I am home most of the time. We have two very active dogs that require a lot of attention and exercise and we would love to watch your dog and treat him/her just like our own. We have a three bedroom home and an enclosed backyard with a pool. Our dogs are inside and outside dogs depending on the weather and where they would like to be.

Tonya was wonderful! My Lucy and her dogs hit it off right from the start. Lucy was exhausted from playing when I picked her up. That's what I call a real vacation for my dog. Tonya and her husband were very nice and accommodating. Especially since I have a pitbull most people are very leary of taking her. Tonya welcomed her with open arms. If I ever need a sitter in that area again it will definitely be Tonya.
I found out about Dog Vacay thru a groupon email I received. I found and contacted Tonya the very same day to see if she was available to take care of our 10 month white boxer girl -- Molly. Tonya responded within a couple of hours, we met her and her two pups at the dog park a couple of days later and finalized date and time. We had to drop Molly off at Tonya (and George's :) house at SIX A.M. SUNDAY morning !! Everybody was up and ready to take Molly in as their own. Both Tonya and George assured us that she'd have fun swimming and playing in the yard and not to worry about anything. I was concerned that Molly might not eat (because she's just a little spoiled), but I got a text Sunday evening that she had been playing all day, was tired and had eaten just fine. When we picked her up on Monday night we didn't have to drag her out of the house, but it did seem that she was a little reluctant to leave her new friends. She was asleep on the way home and then plopped herself on the couch and didn't move until we went to bed.
Needless to say, we are VERY happy to have found Tonya and George and hope that they'll be available next time we need a home away from home for Molly. E
