About Adelaide

6 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
*This is my old profile information from New Orleans. I will be updating it shortly*

My boyfriend and I work from home, so we'll be with your pet 24/7. We have a secure fenced in backyard (see photos), and our home is a New Orleans style shotgun house. Until we're ready for a second dog of our own, we'll "adopt" your furbaby for a day, a night, or even a few weeks!

We treat all visiting pups like family, so please send me a message introducing yourself and your pup, so we can see if you're a good fit for our pack!

We have had our 4 year old dog Pepper since she was 12 weeks, and she loves making new friends.

Pepper has separation anxiety, so we know what it's like to worry about how well your dog is being taken care of at a typical doggy daycare facility. We'll send you lots of photos and videos during your dog's stay so you can relax during your trip! Your pup will get lots of love and care from us while you're gone.

We have a membership to City Bark, a nearby off-leash dog park, and we love to go for on-leash walks on Bayou St. John by our house.

Your dog *must* be neutered or spayed (unless under 6 mos old), and must be up to date on all shots and flea medication (please bring shot records with you for the meet and greet). Please supply your own food, food bowl, treats, and dog bed. We do not crate Pepper at night or when we leave the house, so if your dog prefers a crate, you'll need to supply one for us to use.

We are happy to take care of puppies under one year of age, as long as your puppy has received its shots and been tested and treated for worms. Please understand that dogs under a year require much more care than older dogs, so a crate is absolutely necessary, and a harness (not a flat collar) is requested for your puppy's safety and comfort. We will add a non-negotiable $10 onto overnights for puppies to cover the supplies (Nature's Miracle, Bitter Apple, Paper Towels, chew toys, etc.) and extra care a puppy requires.

Finally, as a precaution, we require a meet and greet before bringing your Pup into our home, on the off chance your dog and Pepper don't get along (she loves 99% of new friends, but we like to be extra careful).

Can't wait to meet you and your pup!

(Note: at this time, I only offer sitting for dogs; I don’t currently accept cats. Thank you!)

PS - If you include the password "Harlan Peppercorn," in your first message to me, I'll know you took the time to read through my profile, and I'll give you $10 off your first night!

The best! Gambit had a great time with Pepper, and I think would probably prefer to live there :-)
