About Amy

Never stress again about going out of town and having to leave your beloved pup behind at your unreliable friend's house or, even worse, a kennel. Your furry family member is always welcome at my house in convenient Bellevue, Kentucky. They will have plenty of room to romp and relax in my pet-centered, historic home with a good-sized fenced backyard for convenient potty breaks and play time.
If your dog is as energetic as my pup, they can accompany us on jogs around the neighborhood, hikes in Mt. Airy Forest, or frequent trips to Newport Dog Park, which is only a 1 mile walk from my house. If your pup is on the more relaxed side, we can create a personalized exercise schedule that suits your dog's needs.
"Snuggles" is one of my dog's favorite words and you can rest assured that your dog will get all the loves, cuddles, and one-on-one time they need to feel as relaxed as possible while Mom and Dad are away. When they're tired of snuggles and naps in the sunshine, my dog Maybe is always up for a friendly bout of wrestling or tag in the backyard. She is a 1-year-old border collie who loves to play, sleep, eat, and repeat. If you have a pup that loves to play, you just found their new best friend. Have no fear if your dog prefers to roll solo, Maybe is a very good host and knows when a dog just wants some alone time.
With an obnoxiously smart border collie in the house, training is a part of the daily routine to help eliminate boredom and tire out her brain. Your pup is welcome to join in on the fun by playing fun puzzle-solving games, such as hide-and-seek, or just by learning a new trick using positive reinforcement techniques. I am also able to follow you're individual training schedule or techniques to best suit your dog's needs.
As one of those people that loves their dog what some may consider "a little too much", I understand the frustration and anxiety of having to leave them to go out of town. To help eliminate some of that anxiety, I am happy to arrange pre-stay visits before your trip so that you can meet me, view the house, and meet my dog. You also will receive no shortage of amusing photos and updates about your pup, so you can relax and enjoy your trip knowing your dog is having a great time as well. By leaving your dog with me, you can rest assured that they are being lovingly treated as a part of my family. From dog-lover to dog-lover, you can trust that my house is the second best place to home.

Amy watched Jackson for NYE and he had a blast at her house playing with her dog, Maybe. He was tired after all of the play-time he had. Amy was very responsive and accommodating to my changing schedule.
Recently we had to leave our dog Lily at 1 year old border collie mix while we were going out of town for a long weekend. While looking online I found Amy and her 1 year old border collie mix, maybe. I thought that would be perfect for Lily to have someone to play with who could match her energy level. It was a perfect match with Amy. We could tell that Amy was very experienced with dogs and had a lot of patience and she seem to understand how we felt having to leave Lily in a strange place. Amy sent us pictures throughout the day of lily and she really seemed to fit in. I know Amy took Lily on long walks more than once a day usually, and by the time we got Lily home she seemed relaxed happy and totally worn out from all the fun she had. We truly felt relaxed and confident that Amy was taking really good care of Lily, and whenever we need to leave Lily in the future, if Amy is available we plan on leaving Lily with her, and maybe again.
