Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Maija (pronounced like Maya), and I am currently a fourth year medical student at Rush Medical College. Unfortunately, I am currently unable to have a furry friend of my own but would love to walk or play with yours while you're away during the day! I am not offering dog boarding or overnight dog sitting at this time, so my services only include coming to your home to take care of your pooch during the day. My best friend growing up was an incredibly energetic Jack Russell Terrier (pictured above with my childhood cat), so I am definitely accustomed to energetic critters. I have also done quite a bit of dog sitting and volunteering at shelters, so I have experience with dogs of all sizes. Thanks for visiting my page!

Maija was wonderful! We had planned to board our puppy, Abby, over the short weekend while we were out of town but unfortunately she came down with kennel cough a few days before leaving. Luckily Maija was available! While contagious, Abby couldn't go to the dog park or doggie day care, but Maija ran with her both days to help get some of the energy out! She also sent pictures throughout her stay and kept us posted on how Abby was doing. Maija was fantastic and we'd work with her again in a heartbeat!
We had such a wonderful experience with Maija! The dogs were always happy and well cared for when we got home and Maija was great at sending pictures and keeping in touch while we were away (yes, I'm a helicopter dog mom). We recently moved away and are sad that we won't be able to keep using Maija but we definitely recommend her!
Maija has watched my dog Cash twice now, and she's been terrific. She sends pictures from time to time and generally keeps me aware of what's happening at home. Cash seems happy when I get home, and I'm sure he enjoys his time with Maija.
Maija is wonderful! I've used her a couple times for weekend trips and everything is always easy. Maija is great at staying in contact over the weekend and sending me pictures since I hate being away from my dogs. When I get home, the dogs are happy and tired from their fun weekend. As an added bonus, my place is always as spotless (if not more) when I get back in town. I'm definitely looking forward to continuing to work with Maija!
