I love all dogs! I have always been fervent about animals and this love has grown over the years. I have been pet parent to many dogs as well as cats. Currently, my fur baby is 10 years old rescued from a puppy mill when he was 2 months old. :)
Your dog is given the same amount of love and care as I do for my own. In home dog boarding provides a normal, natural environment with lots of love. We have a fenced, spacious backyard but your dog is not left unattended, and is always accompanied by me to play, exercise and attend to needs.
I provide a fun and friendly place for your dog to be happy in when you're away, with the personal care and attention that a commercial dog kennel just isn't able to provide. I'm retired and dogs are paws down my passion!
With daily photos, via text or email, I will keep you updated on your pet's visit, so you can enjoy your vacation and know they are having a wonderful time, too!
My goal is to make your furbaby feel as relaxed here as in your own home. We have a doggie den they can freely come and go when they need to play or have quiet time. Dogs love the playpen set up in the doggie den for them with comfy pillows, blankets and comforters. The dog den is a nice sunroom next to the kitchen looking onto the back yard. Others simply prefer the couch ~ but your furkid will be quite comfortable!
I ask you to bring food to avoid digestive issues. Rabies certificate should accompany your dog, and puppies need to be up to date on Parvo immunization. Prior to their stay, I do require that your dog be up-to-date on their rabies, bordetella, and distemper vaccinations.
I take care of all kinds of dogs, I've cared for blind dogs, puppies, timid dogs, sociable dogs, old dogs - big and little, happy dogs, grumpy dogs .. all kinds of dogs! They're all unique! I typically watch for one pet parent at a time but occasionally reservations may overlap.
My dog Eddie loves the company of other dogs, and is very friendly! He's a very sweet 5 lb Chihuahua, and he likes all dogs - he's sociable and has been around other dogs his whole life.
- You can bring bowls, blankets, beds, toys or other comfort items you feel your furkid may need.
- I don't use crates unless you request your dog sleep in one or is just used to having one. In that case, you're welcome to bring your own or to save you the hassle of carrying one, I have extra on hand.
- My yard and home is professionally flea and tick treated year round. All furkids should have one of the various flea and tick treatments.
I'm a member of the National Association for Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS). NAPPS members have unlimited access to educational resources and training to help increase knowledge on providing excellent pet care. I'm Red Cross Pet CPR Certified, and fully insured with Pet Sitters Assocs.
