Pet care experience
I am a wedding photographer who lives alone, makes my own schedule, and is in love with dogs; so pet sitting has become a hobby of mine amongst my friends. Now that I am also in off session for wedding photography, I find I have more time to spare and more company to crave! I'm very available all times of the day, so I love to take the puppies for walks or play with them amidst breaks in my work. There is even a cute coffee shop next door that gives out doggy treats & allows them to hang out inside! I love taking dogs here as I edit. I travel a lot when not dog sitting or shooting local, so I do not currently have a dog of my own.
Reviews
We were in town for a wedding with our four month old puppy, and looking for a sitter to leave her for the first time overnight. Shannon is a true dog lover and Olive felt immediately comfortable during the meet and greet. By the time we dropped her off for her overnight, she ran into Shannon's apartment and right to her! She was lovely to correspond with and we felt very comfortable leaving our dog with her. If we're back in Minneapolis again with our dog, Shannon will be our go-to!
Shannon is a wonderful doggie care-giver. She is friendly, thorough and has a great dog-friendly apartment. Our pug Scooter came home thoroughly content and calm (he actually was a bit indifferent to me for a few hours which I know means Shannon smothered him with love!). Shannon definitely will be taking care of Scooter in the future!

Safety, trust & environment
Because I rent, I do require the puppies be well trained against accidents in new environments. Kennels are encouraged, but I don't use them often. I think it's a nice option for the dog to have a bit of home, plus for me to have a peace of mind if I leave for no more than 1-2 hours. Otherwise if the dog is well-trained, I let it roam.

Availability
Your dog(s) would stay with me in my one level duplex, around 500 sqft, & no other pets in the house. It's a very dog friendly neighborhood, and I am able to provide dog bowls, a doggy bell and leash. A small yard goes around the home where there's good open grass.
