About Rachel

25 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Hi, please read this whole section! Enjoy your vacation or time away knowing your dog is cared for and loved in a non-restrictive environment! Our home is a relaxed setting that is safe and fun. The yard has a 6' fence all around. We also go for walks or hikes every day. We love taking pics so you get to see your pup while you're gone. We are experienced dog owners who love taking care of animals! We have done doggie foster care and rescue work and are active in showing and therapy dog work. Our resident dog loves other dogs and is gentle and good company for all kinds of dogs, including seniors. Please note: We do not take very small dogs, toy or mini breeds, and because of our elderly dog clients, we do not take any dog aggressive dogs. We require a meet n greet first so your dog gets to know us, and we can be sure it is a good match. Looking forward to making your dog a part of our family!

Rachel was great, super responsive and Rocky had plenty of space and exercise. I felt confident leaving him with her and would have left a higher rating if the address Rachel uses on this site was located closer to her actual address.
I understand the reluctance to list one's actual address, but it was far into the reservation process that I learned the address was more than 20 minutes away - which added 45 minutes to the drop off and pick up time that I hadn't factored into my plans.
Rachel and her family were great with Max. We received multiple updates and photos over the 10 day stay. Max loves to be outside so the fenced in back yard is really nice.
Rachel was so good with Nara. She took her for long walks in the woods, she gave her toys to play and has a nice backyard to leave the dog outside. I fully recommend Rachel to take care your pet.
Rachel was great with Max. She took him on daily hikes on Mount Tom with her dog Athena. Max was excited to see us but he had to go back and say goodbye to Rachel. This is Max's second time to stay with Rachel and he will be going back the next time we need a dog sitter.
Rachel was great. She sent me pictures and my dog was very happy when I picked him up. I could tell that Rachel had taken good care of him!
Rachel was great with Max!! When we picked him up he said hello and then ran back into Rachel's house for more attention before we left.
Rachel sent updates and photos to let us know how Max was doing including pictures of his hike on Mount Tom. We will be using Rachel again for our dog sitting needs.
I just had my first experience with Rachel and it was awesome. My dog was happy, well cared for, and mostly, SAFE in Rachel's care. I won't hesitate to use her again.
Piper had a wonderful time, as usual!
Many thanks to Rachel for taking Chester on short notice. He came home thoroughly happy and exausted. Rachel was very friendly and flexable enough to accommodate our crazy schedule. I would highly recommend Rachel to anyone.
Piper had a wonderful time with Rachel and her family!
Piper was so happy staying with Rachel! She took care of her like she was her own pup! Piper came home happy and relaxed. The photos and emails were so comforting while we were away... Thanks again, Rachel!
This was Harvey's 3rd stay with Rachel. As always, he came home happy and tired. He has a great time playing with resident dog Athena. Rachel is always flexible about drop off and pick up. Convenience for the humans and happiness for the dog, what more can I ask for?
Piper had a wonderful week with Rachel and her family! Loved all the photos and so happy that Piper has a home away from home!
Rachel was very accomodating of our short-notice need for dog care, and welcomed Cassie into her home like an old friend, and Cassie was happy and healthy when we picked her up after the weekend.
Piper had a great overnight at Rachel's! She was happy to see me when I came to pick her up but I could see she was already attached to Rachel! Piper seems so relaxed after her stay so I know she had a great time! I also appreciated her flexibility with the pickup time.
So happy to have found this wonderful home away from home for Piper!

Thank you, Rachel
Pearlie was a happy, active dog at Rachel T.'s house. The environment was relaxed, safe and fun. The backyard is large and well-fenced. Pearlie even looked kind of disappointed to see me when I came to pick her up.

The human hosts are just as friendly as their dog host. They were very good at staying in touch while they had Pearl and clearly really enjoy having extra dogs around. Pearl will be back!
We are so happy to have found Rachel. At the last minute, we needed to find a place for our newly adopted lab, Ninja, and Rachel was very flexible about the timing, even allowing us to add a day when we needed to. She has a great backyard and sent us many pictures of Ninja and Athena happily playing, and she went out of her way to make sure Ninja was fed well and had a good place to sleep. He arrived home totally exhausted. He clearly had a blast with his new friends.
Rachel was fantastic! I would highly recommend her! She was wonderful at accommodating Ace's needs...he came home a very happy, and exhausted, boy...
Once again, Harvey came home happy and tired from his weekend away. Both his human and canine hosts contributed to his positive experience, and I got cute pictures of my playful pup as well (bonus). Rachel is always very responsive and helpful! I would gladly board Harvey here again.
Rachel was great! She was very flexible with drop off/pick up times and was happy to deal with Harvey's restricted diet. He had lots of fun playing with resident dog Athena (they started playing before I even left). He came back happy and tired. I also got several cute pictures of my pup over the course of the weekend. I would highly recommend boarding your dog here and will certainly send Harvey with Rachel again if the need arises. Thank you!
Pippin was very well cared for. She came back well fed and happy. Much better then boarding her at a kennel.
