I have had dogs all of my life and have been the primary caregiver for all of them. My current dog, a Pomeranian, has pulmonary hypertension and must receive four different kinds of medicine twice a day everyday. I am her primary caregiver. She is fed twice a day, once in the am and once in the pm. She also receives treats (dog cookies) a couple of times a day. She goes on walks with me all the time and is doing well and thriving.
In the past, I have had several other dogs that I adopted from a shelter that were of varying ages. I cared for them consistently until their old age. They were all big dogs and very playful, they loved to fetch a tennis ball. They were kept comfortable and ate the best food. One of my dogs loved to play tug of war with me.
Each and every dog was special to me and they lived for about 15-16 years on average. I have a very large fenced back yard for dogs and lots of dog toys.
Recently I boarded 3 dogs from one family for 13 days. One was a huge Rottie and the others were a Havanese and Maltese. They all 3 had a good time with walks and back yard activities and had lots of chew toys.
