Hi! I'm Zivile (Jill is easier to say and remember, I believe). I've been living in Toronto nearly two years. I'm a student now, so I go to college for about 3-4 hours on weekdays (Mon, Wed and Fri in the mornings; Tue and Thur in the afternoons, keep in mind.)
I've had a dog my whole life, although I don't really remember taking care of my German Shepherd since I was very little. But after that time I had a Pekingese female for 9 years (and carefully with my parents accepted her puppies twice). Unfortunately, she passed away and we got a new Pekingese puppy, which I was taking care after as well. He stayed with my parents in Europe as I moved here, and after spending 4 months without a dog I could not live like that anymore, and this was when we got Enzo, our very beloved (and a little spoiled, as he's our "baby") Lhasa Apso. I cannot imagine my life without an animal, but a dog in particular. I love dogs with all my heart, and truly believe they are the biggest gift for human in their lifetime. Taking care after these amazing creatures, playing with them, learning new tricks, and even going for walks is fantastic and the best way to spend one's time.
So I have been with dogs for 21+ years (all my life), and I quite understand their behaviour and how to treat them, so they'd feel comfortable.
I also expect Guest Dogs (owners) to tell me a little bit of their best friends before leaving them, what are dogs' natural behaviours, how do they ask for something, whether they're supper friendly or a little bit aggressive/shy, and how well they're trained, any allergies etc. Communication is key!
