I live in a small cozy house in Clintonville. Four legged visitors are always welcome to our home, we're our neighbors' go-to for dog sitting and look forward to meeting more pooches when they come vacation at our home. A little fun fact about my wife and I, we met for the first time at a dog park and our first date was a first birthday celebration for my golden retriever. The rest is history! Also, another fun fact that I want to share, our future dream is to open Columbus's first a dog park bar! This being a huge reason I am looking to make some extra money doing something we love to do, and saving for my dream!
A little background: : I grew up in a house full of animals, my brother and I were taught at a young age to care for our pets properly. We had all sorts of pets including dogs, cats, birds, lizards, bunnies, turtles, and the list goes on. I can hear my dad saying "What's one more?" to my mom, I was always the one bringing the animals home, begging for them to allow me to make our home their forever home! This love for animals has followed me into adulthood.
At our house, the dogs can enjoy our fenced in backyard, covered patio, garage, and of course they are always welcome indoors. I have been known to make my own dog treats, especially in the summer. My wife and I both work, but often come home for lunch. If necessary, one of us is always available to stop by the house for the lunch hour. We live right next to a walking trail if your pup enjoys walks amongst trees and bushes and deer/rabbits, and we are on a very quiet street in a quiet neighborhood that is perfect for pups that prefer a more urban walk.
We have a toddler who has grown up around our two dogs, a golden retriever named Barley, and a Dane/lab mix named Chic. The dogs are both four years old and very well socialized. Chic is the noisy one, and is protective of the house, but he is very kind and welcoming to visitors after the butt-sniffing introductions are complete!
Your doggies will enjoy two walks per day, two meals, and lots of treats (unless they're on a diet). They'll get lots of playtime with Chick and Barley (who love tug-of-war toys, and chasing) and at night they will have their own dog bed to sleep on. We'll keep you posted as frequently as you'd like (feel free to put a limit on me!) on their stay with us with SnapChats, text messages, phone calls, or emails. Most of all they'll get lots of love and affection, and though they will undoubtably miss you and your home, they will feel loved, safe, and they will definitely have fun.
