Our medium sized border collie mix, Jade, is very well socialized, up to date on her shots, and given flea/tick prevention regularly. She would love to have a buddy while you are out of town, away from the house for work, or just need a break. My husband and I live in a 3 bedroom duplex with a fenced in back yard in a nice south Clintonville neighborhood. Between the two of us we are only away from the house 1-2 hours a day. We enjoy going to city and state parks in the area and taking our dog visitors on hikes! Jade and her friends love to go to Wheeler and the Scioto Audubon dog parks at least three times per week.
Mary Beth and Andy have combined 30 years of experience being the sole caretakers of pets including dogs, cats, birds, & horses.
Mary Beth grew up on a horse farm caring for horses, dogs, cats, and chickens. She currently works part time at a parrot aviary. We have a dog of our own and have watched many dogs of friends and family, and on a professional pet sitting basis for over two years.
We have both had dogs my entire life. Mary Beth's first three dogs growing up were Dobermans (we called them Doberwomen since they were all ladies), next was Pepper the Dalmatian, followed by Belle the Bloodhound, Sheba the Doberwomen, and finally Jade, our rescued border collie mix! Our favorite activity to do with our pup is go on hikes! It wears them out, and makes them very loyal. We have stayed at several homes watching dogs, watched numerous dogs at my own house, and have a ton of experience walking new dogs. We like to build a lasting relationship with the dog from the day we meet it so he or she looks forward to seeing us on the next visit!
Meet our other pet:
Patches the cat. He is cool with dogs, and will find hiding place if necessary:)
