I have always been a dog lover and have 2 extremely friendly (submissive even at home) and welcoming dogs (Boston Terrier mix and schnauzer mix) that would love to share their home with other dogs!
My home has plenty of space for the dogs, has quite a few stairs (if your dog likes stairs like mine do then they will be in heaven) but most of the daily normal activities happen on the main level so if they prefer not to do stairs they won't have to either.
I have 1 acre of land that abuts a neighbor's backyard. I live on a dead end road with only 3 neighbors who are all extremely dog friendly and careful and let the dogs visit them when they are feeling like taking a trip over there! My yard is currently not fenced but I have a couple of runs (one for a little dog and one for a larger dog) and my dogs LOVE leash walks even though they are allowed the freedom of off leash roaming!
My dogs Leila and Bella are crate trained but they sleep in their own beds (they have multiple beds in the house, so if your dog prefers to sleep in one of those we can accommodate), they are good sharers with other dogs (frequently shared my attention with a boxer that has stayed with us on multiple occasions) and neither dogs are possessive over food or toys.
Why I love dog sitting
20+ years - there were always dogs in my home. My family always had dogs growing up whether it was my parents maltese, cockapoo, or cocker spaniel, my brothers pitbulls, my boston terrier or my boyfriends boxer I love dogs of all shapes and sizes
About my yard
I have an acre of yard and often take the dogs outside to do something fun (fetch or just run around or whatever they like - when it gets very hot my dogs prefer to sunbathe for a few minutes and then head inside!!!)
My yard is not currently fenced - although my two dogs are allowed off leash at my home they both enjoy the attention of a leash walk so I often walk them out on leashes as well.
My experience administering medication
Yes. I am. I have administered medication to my own dog and she can be a little picky and tricky when giving so I am well versed in this practice.
What Kimberly would like to know about your dog
I want to know everything necessary before caring for the dog. What is his/her normal routine? Do they like to play ball? What are there favorite treats and games? When does he/she like to eat? Anything to stay away from? Where do they like to sleep? Are there any special words or commands that they use or know? Are they friendly with other dogs/people? Who is there vet in case of an emergency? I have no breed preferences. I love all dogs. I do not accept dogs that fall in the category of "giant" as those can outweigh me and I want to make sure everyone is safe.
