About Lisa

VIPet Care provides safe, gentle and loving care to your very important pet. I accept one client at a time so your dog (or two small dogs from the same home) can receive complete attention and care in a relaxed, quiet and dog-friendly home with a fenced yard--complete with a ramp leading to the yard from the back door, and in a neighborhood that is great for short or long walks on leash. I welcome older dogs and dogs with special needs. I have had pets all my life and have cared for my own pets who were blind, deaf and/or needed medication for many years. I am attentive and communicative to you and your dog so that you can feel at ease and know that your beloved and very important pet is treated like the VIPet that she/he is. In order to ensure that this arrangement is a perfect, peaceful and comfortable fit for all, I request a meet and greet with you and your dog prior to scheduling as well as proof of current vaccinations and a commitment that your dog is clean and flea-free prior to arrival.

Update: I recently befriended a stray/orphan, orange tabby cat (about 2 yrs. old). He has adopted us, and we have welcomed him into our home. He is mainly an outdoor cat but does like to come in late at night and he sleeps in our bed with us. Otherwise, he keeps to himself and likes to stay away from visiting dogs by finding his own space (usually outside and away from the backyard) where he will not be bothered. For this reason, our home is now a better fit for dogs who are comfortable sleeping in their own crate at night and who can tolerate seeing a cat come and go in the house and yard. I am also very diligent about making sure that guest dogs and Sammy the cat do not accidentally get in each other's space.

As always, Lisa (and Diane!) provided a loving, stress-free environment for our most recent overnight. I cannot recommend Lisa enough!
Lisa is amazing-- I don't think we could possibly find a better person to take care of our fur-child Pax. Lisa is very responsible and caring. We especially like the regular pictures and updates of Pax's vacation life. He is clearly having a great time, which allows us to have a great time too!
Lisa and Diane were great! They sent frequent updates while we were gone and they were very patient with our little, old dogs who have some special needs. I am so, so happy that we connected with these hosts!
Lisa was wonderful with Buster! She made him feel at ease right away. Buster had a great time playing ball in her backyard and walking around the neighborhood with her. Not only was Buster well cared for but we felt so comfortable leaving him with Lisa and really appreciated her text updates and photos.
We are so grateful to Lisa and Diane for taking care of our German shepherd dog while we were on a business trip! Lisa showed herself to be a very responsible person, dealing with her was a true pleasure. We received detailed updates with nice pictures of our dog every day and we could see that he was enjoying staying with Lisa and Diane.
Lisa did such an amazing job with our two boys!
She was very thorough during the meet and greet session, taking the time to get to know my boys. Her kind heart + compassion really captured my boys attention and they really liked her! Also my husband and I truly appreciated very detail updates and lots of photos via email everyday when we were off on our trip - it's something that definitely help me sleep better at night. Lisa is trustworthy and I highly recommend her because she really treated my boys as VIPETs!
What can I say? Lisa is wonderful! It's so nice to see my dog's tail wag when she sees Lisa. So nice to have made this contact and I look forward to working with her in the future.
Lisa is wonderful! I felt completely confident leaving my dog with her. She sent me really great pictures and updates during the day, and my dog was happy and relaxed when I dropped her and picked her up. I'm already looking ahead at a future date to book with Lisa.
I can't say enough great things about Lisa (and Diane!) and the wonderful love and care they gave to Star! We felt so good knowing that we were leaving him in good hands and in a comfortable and safe space. We loved getting updates each day (with wonderful pictures) and just had the greatest experience. Lisa had the attentiveness and patience required to deal with Star's "special needs," and I think he was disappointed to return home after enjoying the great back yard, cozy house, and lovely neighborhood (to say nothing of the ample treats and attention)! We will gladly be sending Star for another stay should the need arise and are happy to provide additional testimony for these great dog sitters!
Lisa R. is really fabulous! We can't recommend them enough. The dogs loved them and didn't miss us a bit. For the first time after we were away the dogs didn't show signs of "clingliness" for the first few days of being home. Obviously a good sign of excellent care and love. Lisa and her partner took some amazing photos and kept us up to date with dog adventures.
