About Amy

7 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
We live in a studio apartment near Washington Sq. park and Union Square, with an elevator. We love spending time with our dog vacay pups out on walks or indoors. I've been dog-sitting for 5 years and have several regular dogs that I love like my own. I had my Beagle, Parker in the city for 7yrs,; but he now happily lives with my Ex in a country house in Westchester where there are other dogs and a huge yard.

We both work full-time, but have the option to come home and take the dog out mid-day. We have several neighbors who work from home, so please do not contact if your pup has known separation anxiety or is a constant barker. I wish I could help out, but we've had complaints in the past and cannot risk it. Normal occasional barking is no problem.

Being a host on dogvacay has been a very rewarding experience, and while I miss having a full time dog, I would love to take care of yours!

Thanks!

This was our first time using Petvacay and it was perfect! Amy was kind, responsive, generous and we can't wait to board with her again!
Amy is great! Have used twice and had a great experience both times.
We couldn't have been happier with Amy! She was incredibly communicative and flexible. She made sure our dog Roxie was happy and sent us pictures to assure us that all was well. We will definitely be calling Amy again!
Amy and Tana were great hosts and provided Mochi with the perfect "home away from home" dog vacay! They were very attentive towards his needs, trying to keep things as close to routine as possible for him. I received photo updates to keep me from missing my Mochi too much. Mochi looked happy to see us, but was probably sad to leave Amy and Tana's. Overall a great experience and I would definitely send Mochi to "vacation" with them again. Pawsitively Pawsome!!

I will definitely be calling Amy again! She was wonderful with my puppy, Stella. Amy let us come over a few weeks before the visit to meet and so that Stella could become familiar with her apartment. She was very accommodating to my schedule and took excellent care of my pup. She was very easy to get in touch with and knows everything about dogs. Thanks, Amy! Stella says she misses you and Tana!

Both Amy and her roommate were wonderful with our dog. Amy made our dog's first stay away from us easy for both our dog and us. We highly recommend her!
Amy was great! Responsive, flexible, and treated my little guy like he was her own. I'll be giving her a call again.
Amy, was an excellent hostess! Missy had met her before the stay, and when I dropped her off Missy was excited to see her again. Amy updated on Missy and what they were doing every day. She even dropped Missy off for me on Sunday, which made things so easy!!!!! What made it even better, was Missy was so exhausted, so I knew they had a fun time together.

Thank you Amy!

Amy was GREAT with Harvey. Very attentive to his needs and patient with him (he has bouts of separation anxiety - but she made him so relaxed, he barely noticed when I left!). Also, she was really flexible about working around my schedule for when I could drop him off and pick him up - which i think put everyone at ease!

She was fantastically confident with handling him and put me at ease the moment I dropped Harvey off with his mountain of toys/food etc. She communicated as regularly as I needed and asked the necessary questions to make sure Harvey was as comfortable as he was in his own home.

I would definitely recommend Amy. She truly loves your dog and gives them the care and attention they need, without being over the top. She puts the effort in to making sure your pups stay with her is consistent with their habits/training at home, which makes the whole experience so much more seamless for both you and your dog.
