About Megan

10 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
My name is Megan, and I'm a 25 year old veterinary student doing what I love to help pay for my education. I have volunteered and been on the board for humane societies and rescues for 7+ years as well as fostered for that same time period. I'm currently studying to be a veterinarian while I work full time within the veterinary field. I live with my boyfriend, also an avid animal lover, and since our work schedules tend to be very different, the amount of time that one of us is not home is limited. I've been a dog-sitter for many years and since moving to the city, I need new clients to help round out my life. I offer medical boarding of all types and have no issues administering medications or injections as necessary. My apartment building only allows pets up to 35 lbs, though I would love to spend time with your larger pets at your home while you're away if necessary. I am able to offer nail trims, anal gland expression, bathing, text message photo/video updates, appropriate length walks that suit the age and energy level of your pet, and an environment that will follow whatever rules your pet is used to at home. If they're used to being in bed at night, that's not a problem. If you prefer they be crated at night, also not a problem.

We live one block off of a wonderful park and beach, so that is where our daily walks will take us, though I do not let pets off leash no matter the circumstances.

I do have some resident pets. The first is a 10 year old malte-poo named Charlie. He's very good with other pets, though he does tend to be shy at first. The second is a recent rescue named Penny. She's still young and we are working through some issues that her previous life left her with. She is not yet sure of the appropriate manner to greet another dog on a leash, and she also struggles with stranger danger issues around new people. We are working with her on these things. Rest assured that in an apartment setting, she LOVES other dogs and can wear out even the most energetic of pups with her enthusiasm for play time.

Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions, concerns, or requests for meet and greets. I can't wait to meet your furry family member.

Can't say enough about how pleased I am with Megan and Craig. I've left my dog Henry there before and it's always been great but this time Henry had special medical needs and with Megan's professional experience working in a vet clinic, I completely trusted her to give my dog meds (with an injection) while I was away. My comfort level with leaving my dog here is off the charts--I recommend Megana to anybody who has a truly loved doggie they want to be sure will be cared for and loved as if they were Megan's own.

This is the 3rd time Megan has watched my dog! She's very accommodating, and always timely with responding to my inquiry and meeting me when I drop off Kathy (my beagle). I would recommend Megan to anyone going out of town for a few days!
Alfred, my little guy was very happy with Megan! Loved his stay at her place and will be going back to her place on his next stay!
I usually bring Snoop to work with me. When I found out last minute I wasn't going to be able to, I asked Megan if she could stop by to take him for a midday walk and be sure he still had water. She immediately responded that she was available. She is great at communicating, sending me cute videos of her playing with my animals, and is very responsible. Book her with confidence! :)

Megan was great! She was quick to answer my requests, very attentive to Snoop, and sent me a ton of updates. You can tell she is knowledgeable and cares a lot. I would definitely hire her again!
This is the second time I've left my dogs with Megan and she's wonderful. My very anxious elderly Sheltie is calm and relaxed with her, even during the Fourth of July fireworks sounds outside. She's loving, conscientious, and I felt my dogs were in great hands. What more could you ask for?

Megan was amazing with our dog. He is a very lovable dog and Megan made him feel just as loved away from home. We will absolutely be using Megan again.
Megan is the best! We've used her several times now for our beagle, and we won't ever use someone else again. She takes such good care of our dog and we always feel comfortable leaving her with Megan. I would highly recommend her!
Megan was amazing--she took care of my two dogs and I felt like she treated them exactly as I do at home. They seemed so happy and at home with her--will definitely use her again!
Megan and Craig are amazing! I've used them twice now, once just for a night on Thanksgiving, and they were great and super accommodating. The second time was just last week for 8 days. I felt so comforted knowing Scout was in their care and had their dog Charlie to spend time with for the week. We received regular updates and photos and I could just tell that they treated my Scoutie like their own. I know I'll be using them again in the future!

(second time submitting this review) Megan was awesome ! Dooney seemed happy when we picked him up from his stay with her. Highly recommend.
Megan is an excellent dogsitter. I would recommend her to anyone. She is caring and thoughtful. She texted me pictures and sent me updates of how my dogs were doing. She was very accessible before I left when we needed to make arrangements and she was very organized when it came time to pick the dogs up.

Clearly she loves and delights in caring for dogs. I wouldn't hesitate to have my dogs stay with her again!

We chose Megan because she advertised that she accepts small dogs and doesn't double book and has limited time that the dogs are left alone. Unfortunately, we found this not to be the case. We never met Megan as she has a full time job and she is gone 9-10 hours a day, We were at the apt a total of 4 times, but only saw her boyfriend, the day we picked up our dog, both of them were working a full day, her boyfriend did arrange to leave early so we could p/u our dog at 2pm. Her calendar showed that she had availibility while our dog was there, and she booked 2 shelties before our dog had left.

Megan was excellent from beginning to end- from communication to keeping me updated on my pooch, she was easy to work with. I highly recommend her services and am already looking to book again for my next trip!
Where do I start?! Megan was absolutely wonderful!! She did an amazing job taking take care of my two, 1 y.o, chihuahuas, for a week. This was their first time away from home - so I was kind of nervous. But Megan was great! From the moment we met for our meet-n-greet I knew they would be in good hands Each day Megan sent me both photos and short videos which were great since they looked like they were having fun.

Gigio, my boy pup, has a non-serious medical condition which she managed without any hiccups. She was even able to trim his nails, which I had failed to do numerous times. On the last day they had an accident on their bed and Megan washed it for me - how great is that!!

When I picked them up they were happy and were completely at home, which made saying goodbye very bittersweet. Charlie - her pooch - was also very happy and it was clear they all got along very well. I absolutely recommend Megan and will go to her for any future short-term or long-term visits for my fur-babies. She's professional and a natural and her love of animals shines thru!

This was our little guy's second stay with Megan & Co. She was wonderful! (As usual) Stanley left missing Megan and her dog Charlie. They became very good canine buddies and he had a good time. He was well taken care of and well-supervised. :) Thanks Megan!!

Our dog (a frequently "chatty" and very lovable 7lb Maltese) stayed with Megan, her boyfriend and dog Charlie for 9 days. During our host meet-n-greet, we were immediately put at ease with her warmth and calmness. Megan was excellent and consistent about providing daily updates (video and pictures). Our dog acclimated well to her home environment and seemed really happy, comfortable and well-taken care of while staying with her which made us feel better and less anxious as puppy-parents leaving our little guy behind. We will be relying on Megan in the future as a host for our dog!!
