Pet care experience
Hello pet lovers! In order to reduce COVID exposure, I am currently only accepting return clients and new regular (weekly or more) walking/drop in requests. My name is William, and I have been pet sitting professionally for many years. I was one of the first people to join Rover in 2008. Since then, I have become one of the site's top sitters and even represented Rover sitters in a NerdWallet interview! I am certified in Pet First Aid and CPR. I originally planned on becoming a veterinary surgeon. However, after finding out that I have mild arthritis in my hands, I changed careers. I have a regular job now, but I love being able to work with animals still get my "fur fix" through sitting. I am friendly, educated, and have a great deal of experience working with animals, sick and healthy, in and out of a hospital setting. I also work with exotic birds. If you have a pet with special medical needs, I will have no problem obliging. I administered pills/ injections/medications and assisted in surgeries daily while working as a vet nurse, so very little is outside of my experience and comfort level. If you wish to expedite the booking process, please include the following in your message: 1) Location 2) Normal walking/feeding/play routine (length, time of day, etc) 3) Medical/special needs 4) Any aggression issues towards certain people/animals 5) Any additional info I look forward to meeting your furry friends! *Overnight Pricing: For overnight stays, the listed price includes a morning/early evening walk and a potty break before bed (and, of course, snuggles and attention while I am staying inside a home). Any additional walks/special needs may incur an additional charge. **Camera Policy: I had an experience where a client did not inform me of a camera hidden in their bedroom and I was recorded in various states of undress during a stay. As such, in order to protect my privacy, I reserve the right to disable any undisclosed cameras and, in extreme cases, cancel a stay.
