About Colleen

18 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I am a licensed veterinarian, here in the B/CS area for more school.
Dogsitting is primarily a way for me to get in all the cuddles and love that I miss out on from not having a pup of my own!

I will care for your pets to your preference - from fully spoiled to extra training. I ensure they get the same treatment with me as they would with you. I am comfortable with needy pets, and can give any medications or perform any treatments.

In my comfortable, pet and child-free home your pup will have all my attention. I try to watch one family of dogs at a time, but make an occasional exception if both owners approve. Dogs are welcome anywhere in my home, but if you have a no furniture policy, I will enforce it!

Free-roam dogs are allowed to roam (or lounge on the back of the couch), and crate-trained dogs are welcome to use my crate or bring one from home. Your dog will be my dog for the visit, and (if it's ok with you) they might go on play dates, hikes, or accompany me to restaurant patios!

Hona and Miles had an awesome time with Colleen. She was very understanding and accommodating for Miles who is a very needy rescue pup. I would definitely recommend Colleen.
Colleen was a great host for our full size labradoodle Kona. We had Colleen watch Kona during an Aggie football game for us which helped us to know Kona was in good hands, she fed her dinner and played with her. Our dog was tired (in a good way) after spending some time with Colleen and I would highly recommend Colleen. She was always fast in her responses which made planning easy.
First time we've left Marley with someone other than family so I was a.bit apprehensive. However Coleen made it so easy and Marley had a great time. She was so incredibly accommodating for us. we will definitely use her again!
Colleen was wonderful!!! She sent me pics of my girls enjoying their time with her. One is a puppy and the other is a rescue dog so both occasionally have accidents inside...Colleen took it in stride and continued the positive reinforcement I was using in training them. I will DEFINITELY use her again when I have to leave the dogs behind!
I have a large 1.5 year old doberman/german shepherd. She is a big puppy and super hyper and can be a handful, so I am very picky about who I board her with. I boarded with Colleen because my usual sitter was booked, and I really needed someone to babysit my pup last minute while I was out of town. At first I was hesitant to spend $45/day because that is more than most boarders, but I can say that she is worth it. She is really great with my dog. She bends over backwards to keep your dog's routine the same while it stays with her. If your home rules are dogs off furniture, she will enforce those rules in her home too. If you don't want your dog crated, she won't crate it. If your dog sleeps in the bed at home, it can sleep in her bed with her. She'll snuggle and love on your dog as if it were her own. She even had a crate at her place, so I didn't have to lug my giant crate over to her house and back. She sent tons of pictures and updates to let me know how my dog was getting along with the other dogs. It was a huge relief to know that my pup was being so well taken care of. I will definitely use her again.
Coleen is awesome. I have not been able to leave my dog with anyone in almost 2 years because she is very frightened when separated from my husband and I. My girl did not make it easy for Coleen but she was so patient and went above and beyond to make sure Ginger was comfortable and well cared for. She was also very good about keeping us updated on her progress and very patient with a stressed dog mommy. I am so relieved to find such an amazing and experienced person to watch my girl.
Colleen is fabulous.
We only had a 1 night stay, but Colleen was great and made us feel very comfortable. Our pup had a good time and we will definitely use her again.
Colleen is the best. Took such good care of them!
This was our third time having Colleen and Kellen watch Gus. He had an especially good time since there were two other dogs to play with. We always feel safe leaving him with them and never have to worry!
My Stevie is my baby and I was worried about leaving him. Colleen and Kellen spoiled him and we received daily pictures and texts. I was relaxed and had no doubt he was in good hands.
We have worked with Colleen before and are very happy. She is great with our dog.
I was very nervous leaving Pip and really showed it! Colleen was not only great with Pip, she was very patient, kind and understanding to me! Pip evidently had plenty of loving care, exercise and entertainment because he came home very mellow, relaxed and calm. It was such a smooth transition. That is saying a lot for a JRT! I can't imagine leaving Pip anywhere but Colleen's, I really felt she went above and beyond to ensure his safety and comfort.
Kellen an Colleen were amazing with our 2 extra large dogs!! They've never come home happier or more relaxed. Great yard for them too! We'll absolutely use them whenever we can!
I was so glad to have found Dogvacay and Colleen specifically! She (and Kellen) were excellent with my Boston Terrier, Winston. She sent photos that kept me updated even when there was nothing to report - it's nice to know it's all good. He came home spoiled - he wants a fenced in yard all to himself! I won't hesitate to book again, I just hope she's available.
Colleen was amazzzing!!! She took great care of our fur babies and made sure to leave me updates at home so I knew what their schedule was upon returning! Would definitely recommend. We are so thankful we found dogvacay!
After arrangements with my family member fell through at the last minute, I was worried I would have to send Charlie (my 10 month old golden retriever/ lab mix) to board at the kennel for the weekend. So glad Coleen could accommodate me at short notice. From the moment she greeted Charlie, I knew I was leaving my pup in good hands. She sat down on the ground and talked to my puppy in a very loving tone, instantly putting her at ease. After the stay, we saw Coleen again when she was returning a toy we left behind. Charlie was so excited to see her that she tried to get in her car...thats a great endorsement!
Colleen was super! She went above and beyond to accommodate my needs which were last minute. Though it took a little more of her time, because she couldn't stay at the house she spent a good deal of time with my 'pups'. I'd be pleased to have her host again.
Colleen was great with Gus! He had a great stay with her and had so much fun we weren't sure if he wanted to come home. We really appreciated the updates and pictures! It was good to know that he was well taken care of. Would definitely recommend Colleen to anyone in need of a loving doggie sitter!
Molly had a great time! Thanks for taking such good care of her.
Colleen was exceptional with our pup! It was so nice knowing that he was in good hands. She went above and beyond to care for Reuben. She took him on a nice walk, gave him lots of cuddles and made him feel at home. We will definitely use her services again. Thanks Colleen!!
Colleen took very good care of Samantha. It gives you peace of mind knowing that your baby is being loved while you're away.
Appreciated the photos and daily updates on the dogs, since this was my first time leaving them with someone other than family.
Colleen was fantastic with my little guy. He loved his time at her house! It's much easier to leave town knowing he's in good hands. She sent pictures during my trip and got a hold of me right away when there was a minor issue. My dog is very happy he won't have to go back to the boarding facility again.
Like most dog owners I feel guilty leaving my pooch...but with Colleen I know he's in good hands! She takes wonderful care of my previous cargo, even taking him on hikes. It's evident every time I pick up my dog that she truly enjoys being a host.
We were very happy to have found Colleen to take care of Baxter while we were out of town. She responded quickly, provided updates, and was very flexible with our hectic schedule. We would definately use her service again.
Great experience. Our dog seems to be happy and well cared for when we picked him up, a noticeable difference from when we have left him at kennels.

Colleen was friendly and gave our dog attention and exercise. We also appreciated the online updates on him while we were away.

No complaints. We would leave our dog with Colleen again.
I felt comfortable leaving Molly because I could tell she would be comfortable. Colleen took such good care of her and kept me updated the whole time. This helped me enjoy my trip without worrying about Molly the whole time.
Great host. Took my dog hiking and made her feel at home! You won't regret leaving your loved ones in her care!
Colleen was awesome! The only regrets I have is that she doesn't live in Phoenix where I do. We were juggling so many family obligations in Omaha and she was so accommodating and understanding of the balancing act. Layla loved, loved, loved being there. I knew she was gonna be fine when she didn't even turn back and look at me when I was leaving. When I picked her back up, she was definitely smiling. I would recommend Colleen to anyone. Thank you again Colleen.
Very friendly, and took great care of my big guy.
