Vet Tech/Experienced Sitter offers TLC!

Pet care experience

I am a veterinary technician and an professional pet sitter. My experience and compassion for animals allows me to offer your pets the best care possible. I offer a wide variety of pet services including, but not limited to, daily dog walks, playtime, providing fresh food/water, changing litter, administering medications, and pet transportation (vet, groomer, etc.) I offer overnight stays where I spend the night in your home as well as daily visits in the morning, mid-day, evening, or late night. In addition to pet care, I also give your home a lived-in look and feel while you are away. I perform minor household duties such as bringing in mail/newspapers daily, rotating lights/blinds, taking trash and recycling to the curb, and watering plants. I offer TLC to pets in their own home because ultimately "Home Is Where the Wag Is!"

Kerri is fantastic! She took excellent care of my senior girl and I felt comfortable travelling knowing that my pup was well cared for and loved while I was away. Thank you Kerri!!

One of the top sitter I've ever had the pleasure to meet. From interview, to meet and greet, and her pet sitting and after the communication was fast & efficient. We hired Kerri to visit our pups while we were out of town, I can tell she did an amazing job because I arrived home with happy and tired dogs. I knew my pups and kit were in good hands since meeting with Kerri, I have a HUGE list of what is necessary and the skills needed and she is now my go to. Look forward to leaving Kerri in charge again soon, I know my pups will be happy!

If you are looking for somebody you can trust to take care of your best friend look no further. We hired Kerri to stay at our home while we were away for three days and take care of our elderly lab and we could not be happier with her, she was absolutely wonderful. We were searching for someone with a very particular skill set and Kerri fit the bill 100%. Kerri met with us at our home a few days before our trip to go over everything and to meet our dog. For over a year we haven’t left our home overnight unless our dog could come with us because we never trusted anyone to take care of his special needs- after our meeting with Kerri all our fears were gone. Our dog is elderly, is diabetic, has special dietary needs, and requires numerous medications as well as insulin shots twice a day. He requires help getting up and sometimes requires the aid of a harness while walking. To say the least, he is a handful. Kerri is a former Vet Tech and is comfortable administering medications, shots and anything else that could possibly come up, finding someone with those abilities was extremely important to us. She handled everything without issue, she sent us pictures throughout the day of our little man so we could be reassured that all was well. Finding Kerri has been a God send and has given us our freedom back. It is so comforting to be able to go out of town and not have to constantly worry about the care our little man is receiving, now we can actually enjoy ourselves without being stressed out the whole time. I literally can’t say enough positive things about her- she will be our “go to” pet sitter from this day forward!

Kerri is awesome! She did such a great job watching our cat, Beau, over the holidays for us. We were a little crazy before leaving and Kerri was such a good sport and willing to roll with the punches. Beau ended up having an eye issue and needing 3 different eye medicines every day while we were gone... Kerri was a rockstar and able to administer them seamlessly. We will definitely be using her again in the future. Highly recommend Kerri!

Why I love dog sitting I have always had pets in my family. I grew up with dogs, cats, fish, and exotics. As a child, I knew that I had a passion for animals and always wanted them to be a big part of my life. As a young adult, I began volunteering at my local animal shelter, walking and providing companionship for the dogs and being involved in many adoption events. I also began fostering because rescue is very important to me. While volunteering with the shelter and being in nursing school, I decided that I wanted to make a career of working with animals and began working at an animal hospital where I received hands on training to become a veterinary technician. I have now been a skilled veterinary technician for 8 years. This has given me the best experience with animals and I am able to show my compassion for them on a daily basis!

Information Kerri K. would like to know about your pet

I am open to pet sitting any breed of dog. I always prefer to meet them during a complimentary consultation before their "humans" go out of town so that they are comfortable with me. I need to be aware of any medical problems or behavioral problems that I need to monitor. I would like to know if they have any type of food allergies or have a special diet of any kind. I also like to know if they are on any medications. In general, I like to know their normal routine so that I can keep them as on schedule and comfortable as possible.

A typical day

Time I'll spend with your dog Time spent with your dog will vary depending on their regular schedule and my schedule as well. If you prefer overnight stays, I will be spending the night in your home which will include morning and evening duties such as walking, playtime and feeding. I am also available to visit during the day for a walk and hang out time if you request. If you do not need overnight visits, I also offer multiple daily visits at different times. Typically, daily visits will include a walk or playtime in a fenced yard or neighborhood park, feeding, and some time for affection and companionship. These visits are available in the morning, mid-day, afternoon/evening, or late night. I try to remain flexible to accomodate your pets needs. Extra house-sitting services Yes, I am always willing to perform additional tasks in your home. This includes watering plants, bringing in mail and newspaper daily, rotating lights and blinds, taking trash can and recycling to curb, etc.
