About Scott

37 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Your dog will stay on a 107-acre farm and forest land which also operates as a non-profit rescue.

We only take care of one dog at a time so your dog will have the time of their life meeting our rescued farm animals, socializing with our dogs and sleeping on the couch.

My spouse and I are former foster volunteers with the Monadnock Humane Society and I am a Pet First Aid Instructor with the American Red Cross.

Becuase of our special setting and individual service, we require a Meet-n-Greet before accepting a reservation. You must also have a 100% complete profile on DogVacay including photos of you and your dog, medical information and description.

We have three female dogs: a Jack Russell, a Black Lab and a Terrier-mix (rescued).

In addition to dogs, we have a potbellied pig, two Sicilian donkeys, five sheep, eight angora rabbits and six alpacas. We also have chickens, guinea fowl, and peacocks!

A Note About Drop Off and Pick Up Times:
Overnight boarding works just like a hotel stay for people. Check-in for overnight boarding is typically after 1:00 pm and pick up is typically by noon. But we certainly can accommodate early drop offs as well as later pick-ups (subject to additional fees)! Just let us know what your needs are! Overnight boarding is for a 23-hour block and we can adjust drop off and pick up times within that framework.

Please bring EVERYTHING your dog is used to, including food bowls, blankets, leash, crate, toys and treats. (We have had people show up with nothing but a sack of food which is a sad way to start a DogVacay).

A Note About Puppies:
All dogs must be housebroken. If your dog or puppy is not housebroken, there is an additional $10 per day training fee to provide this service. We also ask that you bring all the tools to housebreak your pooch, including, a crate and puppy training pads,

A Note About Third-Party sitters:
Sometimes people choose DogVacay as a supplement to a friend, family member or acquaintance who is dog sitting. (For example, you go away for a week and have a friend dog-sit and they can only do it for two days at the start and two days at the end of the week. So you call us and want a three-day DogVacay. Dealing with a third party in circumstances such as this never works out. There is often times confusion, delays, and inconsistencies which are unsafe and problematic at best. We only accept your dog from you and only return your dog to you,

Other Special Accommodations:
Depending on the issue, we may require an additional fee.

Scott took terrific care of Peaches and kept us up to date during the whole stay. We really appreciated his services.
Scott is was very nice, communicated regularly about the reservation and took wonderful care of my dog Red.
My pups had a great time on the farm! Thanks so much for taking such good care of my little ones!
Scott was thoughtful and patient with our dog, who experiences a great deal of separation anxiety. The resident dogs are friendly, and the property is a beautiful place for dogs to run and play.
Scott did a wonderful job looking after our dog. Our pup seemed really happy and there were other dogs and animals around to keep him entertained. Scott even let him sleep in their bed!
Scott and Brian took wonderful care of our dog. She was relaxed, happy, and healthy when we picked her up after almost a week. It was clear that she had received lots of attention, socialization with the host dogs, and lots of outside exercise. Many thanks to Scott and Brian for giving her such a great vacation.
We felt confident about leaving our dog with Scott. Their place is awesome and the pup came home looking and feeling happy!
great place to bring your dog! Dogs get to go on vacation while you do too!
Tuuka had a blast!!! He was not lonely with all the other dogs and animals to play with!
This was our farm dog puppy's first time away from home. Scott's place was a total vacay! Lots of fun animals to play with and a good safe environment. Scott delivered fully on expectations and we will come back again.
Scott has a place out in the country, with a lot of cool animals. He is about 30 min north of Hanover and provides good directions to his house. He took exceptional pains to make our standard poodle feel at home. Because he only takes one dog at a time, he can adapt to the individual needs of the boarder, and, where appropriate, he can let him have the run of the house, without sticking him in a cage. His own two dogs are laid back and don't mind company. Staying with Scott is a good solution for dogs that are not welcome at snooty Dartmouth functions.
Scott G. is to dogs what Mr. Rogers is to children.

I am the helicopter parent of a 9 week old miniature schnauzer. Swas tely wonderful from the first moment, introducing each of his dogs to my little guy individually at our "meet and greet"
- Toby has neveren socialized with other dogs before - but when I I came to pick him up, he had clearly become best friends with Scott & his pups. Thanks to Scott, Toby has also nowd been introduced to "clicker training," and walked multiple ti

Scott did an awesome job caring for Bob it gave Bob the chance to get to know other dogs as well. I would highly recommend Scott to anyone. He sent pics of Bob daily so we could see how he was. Very happy and would have Scott sit Bob again. :)
