I am a student who has had pets all of her life, mostly cats up until a year ago when I rescued my first dog, a Mexican puppy named Harley.
Thanks to my sweet little fluff ball I have lots of experience dealing with stubborn dogs, post surgical care, administering medications, treating separation anxiety, excited peeing (oh the joys of having a fur baby) and training basic obedience and a few other fun tricks.
Harley plays very well with all dogs and also knows when to respect the space of an older or lower energy dog.
My apartment is best suited to medium or small dogs as doesn't have a backyard with lots of space. However I live within walking distance to a beautiful dog park that, with permission from the owners, I would be happy to bring their dog to so they may run and socialize with the other dogs as well. If there are any issues with aggression or the dog simply is not spayed/neutered or up to date on vaccinations my apartment is only one block away from the St Lawrence trails and parks where we will go for walks.
My only request is that dogs staying overnight be accompanied by their kennel unless they are 100% dependable for housetraining and can be trusted being left to roam freely.
