While growing up my family ran a dog boarding kennel with a max of 5 dogs of our own plus several boarders. We also did obedience training classes. I since have had dogs my entire life and feel very comfortable around all breeds. Currently our rescue dog has adapted well to our 2 cats and developed a mutual respect for them. On our current daily walks I encourage as much interaction with other dogs we meet along our routes and often have him off-leash for a brief play time with the other owners permission.
