About Tara

15 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I am in UVA graduate, a mother of two, who are also animal lovers like their parents. Our four-person family lives in a clean home in downtown Charlottesville in a lovely neighborhood, non-smoking, and have fostered many fur-babies for the SPCA over the years. Dogs enjoy a cage-free vacation at our home, cuddles on the couch, doting, pampering, 5 walks a day, baths if needed, 24/7 supervision, and lots of attention. Our family adores caring for animals and doing anything we can to keep them happy and comfortable as possible. Whether it's cooking food for the the fur-babies, wiping or washing them to keep them fresh and comfortable, taking them for long walks and rides in the car, or cuddling with them in front of the fire, we make sure they are always smiling!

Very nice family and nice home. We really appreciated Tara and family's patience with our active 9 month old basset hound puppy.
Coal had a wonderful visit with Tara and her family. He was very well cared for and Tara sent me pictures while I was away so I could see how well he was doing. She provides a lot of tlc for her charges which was important for coal. We will definitely have dual stay with Tara again!

I can't say enough good things about Tara and the care that my kid received while she was visiting. Communication was frequent and she was clearly concerned about the comfort and well being of my kid. We will certainly be visiting in the future! For my first experience, she far exceeded my expectations. Thank you!

A really good experience. Our dog loved the family and they took very good care of him. They gave him lots of walks and attention.
Tara was awesome with our puppy. She asked great questions to ensure proper care. We received updates and pictures, which was so sweet! We were even later than we anticipated to pick up our dog and Tara was so accomodating. Great stay for our puppy!

Tara is absolutely, categorically, unconditionally INCREDIBLE!!! I have not a single reservation about recommending her.

She took care of my blind, ten-year old Maltese named Huckleberry. He was neglected before my wife and I rescued him from the SPCA a few months back. As such, he needs a lot of love and attention. Huck is quite clingy, has a strict diet, and needs constant supervision due to his health issues. Not only did Tara support Huck in all of his needs, but she was happy to do so. She loves animals and took amazing care of our little Huckleberry.

Again, I cannot say enough about our experience with Tara. You will not be disappointed.
