About Hedda

9 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
My business is Urban Tails. Urban Tails is a Local First woman-owned business. My mission is to provide affordable and reliable dog walking and pet sitting services, tailored to your pet’s needs. Urban Tails believes all animals are social animals who thrive best in their own home and environment and are happier if walked and played with throughout the day, versus being crated or boarded. Urban Tails will provide individualized services with the care and love you expect for your pet. I specialize in leisure walks and steady, fast paced walks. I have special walks for seniors and overweight dogs. I do not do dog running. Play is involved in my walks. I walk up to 2 dogs at a time. I firmly believe that to give the attention needed for each individual dog, a limit of two dogs is best. I also use a GPS tracking device on pets when outdoors. I do provide harnesses if the dogs regular collar is not a proper fit. I provide organic, natural treats (if dog is allowed treats) for being good and following instructions. For my visits with cats, I include laser tag and catnip bubble play as well as cat massage. If you are gone for an extended time, I will check the mail, take out the trash, water indoor plants, and turn lights off and on. A free report card come with every visit. I am bonded and insured. Certified in pet CPR and First Aid.

Having worked with, in fact, lived with Hedda Britt and her son for a few weeks in the summer of 2013, I am very pleased and feel able to speak to her abilities, in particular her amazing connection with animals.
Hedda is one of those human beings that animals instinctively trust. If there is a stray cat or dog,a feisty squirrel,an annoying raccoon, or an injured animal domestic or wild, Hedda has the intelligence, compassion and knowledge on the right way to handle almost any situation.
She is naturally empathetic to humans and animals and will go out of her way to care for others. She is entirely trustworthy and dedicated to what she is doing.
In conclusion, she will put her whole self and energy and knowledge in always trying to do the best for all whom she serves.

We hired Hedda to stay with our three cats for four days, shortly after we moved in to a new house. The cats were still skittish and Hedda took care of them. When she came over to discuss our needs, she immediately bonded with the cats, playing with them and talking sweetly to them. When we came home, our house was clean, our mail was on the table, the plants were watered, and most importantly, the cats were happy. That meant everything! We highly recommend Hedda and she will be our only cat-sitter going forward.

Hedda started taking care of George when my regular dog walker was ill. Since then, Hedda has become a regular "occasional" walker and playtime pal for George. He absolutely loves her. Hedda has this special sense with animals and they find her a kindred spirit. I trust her with George. She is reliable. Her rates are very reasonable. Hedda goes above and beyond what is expected.
