About Christopher

30 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
First, Just let me say, I will respond to your request within minutes! Please don't hesitate to communicate your needs. Canine Creatures help me feel good, I connect with them immediately, owners could get jealous, sorry! If you choose to use our pet boarding services, we will walk, fetch, and practice some basic ability training during visit. There is an understanding present between Human Beings and Canines that is somehow primal, the Alpha, the importance of the pack, the unit. These amazing beings seem to know how to provide service, work, and love given to all they encounter innately. Admiration for these qualities engulfs me.

If you include your favorite brush we will even give him or her a basic grooming session. Every dog will respond positively to respect, honor, and solid leadership. It is indeed exactly what they are always on the lookout for.

My promise to you: Your treasured pet will return better than before, exercised and ready to reconnect with you, then get some rest! ~ Photos include pictures of some of our repeat sleep over guests! We are all having a blast! Video cameras are pointed at all areas where pets will travel and are always monitored keeping your cherished pet safe.

When sending a request please include drop off and Pick Up times, this is very important, requests can not be accepted without this information. Daycare is for a 9 hour period, overnight is for a 24 hour period. Additional hours require some added fees. Thanks for the opportunity to be of service!

Chris was great with my pup! I was really worried about leaving her since she was still recovering from her spay surgery, but Chris kept re-assuring me she would be fine. And I'm glad to say she came back a happy pup! Thank you so much!
Our British bulldog Princess spent the Christmas and New Year holiday with Chris. We couldn't be happier with the services provided by Chris. He kept us regularly appraised on her progress with Photos and updates. Our dog has a number of allergies, Chris was very careful in understanding these and ensuring she was well taken care of. Thank you Chris for taking such good care of our little one. Would highly recommend.
This is the second time we have used Chris for our pet. His service is amazing. He adjusted to our requests for pickup and drop off and communicated clearly and consistently throughout the scheduling period. Pricing was very acceptable for the care given. Chris seems like he really connects with animals quite well. Our dog returned very happy to us, in addition to looking very excited to go for his second stay with Chris.
Christopher made me feel immediately comfortable with leaving behind my dog. He send me photo and video updates and responded quickly to my text message check-ins.

Christopher is a photograph and printed for me a beautiful shot of my dog! What a great perk. My pup was certainly tired when she got home. :)
He treated our 3 dogs like family.
My pup had a great time! Chris was great in answering all my questions and sent me a photo update during the stay. He was kind and clearly a knowledgable dog lover! I will definitely, with full confidence, bring Maica back for future stays!
This was our first time using Dog Vacay and it was awesome! Christopher was so great with our dogs and I could tell they really enjoyed being with him. We all met before I dropped the dogs off and there was an immediate connection between Christopher and the dogs, which was a great thing to see.

Thanks for the wonderful experience!
Kind of embarrassing from my point of view because the first thing my dog (franklin) does in Chris backyard is.......well you know what, but Chris seemed to take it all in stride and even got a picture of Franklin during his stay with Chris ,all in all things appeared to have gone very well and will probably use Chris again depending on his availability
What a wonderful experience for both of us! Christopher rescued me from a sitter that bailed last minute, a total lifesaver from the get go. Kuini came home happy and exhausted and for a puppy thats hard to do. He even had a beautiful 8x10 print ready and waiting of my babe when I arrived after a long day of work.
We have 4 dogs of varying size, personality, energy, age, and medical issues; taking care of our dogs is no easy task. Our Weiner Dog is a professional escape artist and has yet to find a yard he cannot escape from. Our Australian Sheppard had minor medical issues that require medicine. Our Black Lab had spinal surgery on 3 vertebrae 4 days before boarding them with Chris and a rehabilitation regimen. Our dogs can be a handful due to their energy and curiosity. I don't think Chris understood the task and test of patience that was in front of him. If you can care for our dogs, you can care for anybody's dogs.

We chose Chris over everyone else because he cared. It started with his communication and sense of caring during our first contact. Chris remembered our conversations, asked questions, assured that our pets would be in great hands, and bonded with our pets. He helped us with the unloading, spent time talking with us, ensuring that our pets were comfortable, and treated our pets as if they were his own.

What really topped off the experience was at the end, he presented us with a matted portrait of all four of our pets together; how he got them all to stay still for the shot, I have no clue. If you are looking for someone to care for your dog, quit looking and talk with Chris. Chris cares, he's friendly, he's professional, and he's the guy that will take care of our pets in the future. Oh, and the Wiener Dog, he never escaped! Thanks Chris!!!
Capone was well cared for while I was on my trip out of town. My little dog is a bit particular, requires multiple medications each day and can be difficult with new people so I was a bit worried. I am happy to say Capone had a great time with Chris. He was happy and well adjusted when I picked him up. It is a great relief to know my little buddy is well cared for.
Chris was great! Super flexible and very accommodating. Will definitely use him in the future!
We just moved to the Tacoma area and needed to find someone to watch our dog. We got her from a shelter about a year ago. Someone dropped her off with her puppy and she had a lot of anxiety at first. She has since become confident, but when her fears are triggered, she gets agitated, whines and paces. In the past, for the rare times we needed a sitter, a family member stayed with her at home. We looked online for pet sitting services, discovered DogVacay, and read Christopher's profile and reviews. We identified with the people who said that they felt hesitant to leave their dog, but did with Chris, and were very happy with the experience. Chris responded immediately to our inquiry, we did a meet and greet that afternoon, went home and made a reservation with Chris for the following weekend. Chris texted updates and sent us pics. When we arrived to pick her up, she was calm, happy and acted friendly and relaxed. She showed no signs of distress and was acting very affectionate towards Chris. We highly recommend him for his care and sensitivity. We left with our dog and a beautiful photographic portrait that he made of her during her stay. Thank you Chris! With much appreciation, Alan and Kathleen
Chris was totally awesome! I was happy to get the chance to do a meet and greet ahead of time just to ease any reservations I had. I was grateful he was able to take on my dog despite initially being unavailable for one of the three days. I had peace of mind when he sent me photos and videos of my dog eating (she had recently been sick and wasn't eating much) and running around in his yard. It was apparent that he loves dogs and took exceptional care of my young, large, sweet dog, including brushing and playing with her. I absolutely know you can trust him to take excellent care of your dog. Thank you so much Chris!!

Christopher was awesome! I contacted him on short notice (2 days) so I could take a last minute weekend trip. He responded quickly, and took great care of my girl. He helped her work on her training, and send me a couple of pics of them hanging out. Very laid back guy, was very flexible with drop off/ pick up time. Really good experience.
My experience could not have been better. I avoid dog sitting generally but work made that unavoidable, and returning to a happy, healthy, joyful pup was one of the best feelings ever and knowing my pup was ok was a HUGE load off my shoulders. I really hope to be able to have Hrothgar sit with Chris again!
My dogs went to another sitter and came back traumatized. Not with Chris though! Chris took extra good care of my boys and they were in good spirits and exhausted... Quite the opposite of traumatized. Chris kept in contact with me throughout the day send pictures and messages. I feel totally comfortable leaving them with him again! Thanks Chris!
Once again, Cabo & lil Emma came home happy and healthy. Thank you soooooooooo much Chris!
Christopher completely catered to our three little dogs. He saw to their every need and was very sensitive to their doggy hierarchy. He even had our most stubborn girl warmed up to him by the end of the first day. We will definitely be seeing Christopher for all our future dog sitting needs! He is also a professional photographer, so we had pictures to take home with us.
Emma is now 10 and needs extra care so leaving her with anyone other than Chris might be a problem . Chris cares for Emma as if she were his own dog; giving her the love, medicine, extra care that she would receive with me. Cabo can't wait to spend time with Chris since he's very in tune to animals and their personalities. He is a very special soul and we are blessed to have found him to care for our dogs.
Great, as always! Chris was flexible when our plans changed and great with our dogs! We got texts and updates daily and he did an awesome job! We'll continue to keep Chris in mind for future needs.
We were so pleased to see how excited our dogs were to see Chris for their return stay. They truly love him and accept him as part of our "family".
We are extremely grateful to have found someone so caring, professional and wonderful to care for our treasured family members when we are unable to.
Our dogs had the best time with Chris. He cares about them as if they are his own family members. Cabo and Emma could not have been in a more loving and caring home environment. We are so grateful to Chris.
Our dogs have only stayed with trusted family members so it was with trepidation that I searched for a safe home environment for our 2 dogs. I found that and more in Chris. He is a dog lover who truly cared about the quality of their stay. He has a large fenced in grassy yard to play in and takes the dogs on walks, has no problem giving meds; all around knowledgeable. My favorite thing is that he got down on their level when he first met them and greeted them in his calm way. We consider Chris a part of our new "pack". He's a definite keeper and our new Go to Guy
Chris was great! We never like leaving our kids but when we do we want someone to stay in our home with them so they're most comfortable. Chris came and stayed Fri-Mon. He took pictures and texted us updates but only when we asked how things were going so our trip wasn't interrupted at all. He let us know when he was leaving so we could make sure the dogs weren't alone too long. Overall a great experience and we'll be using him again. Oh- and house was as I left it- clean, he even washed the sheets and re-made the bed for us. Bonus!
I have owned dogs most of my life and have never had to worry about where or with whom they would stay when I couldn't take them with me. Fortunately for me, I've always had family or friends who could take them into their home or stay with them at mine. Since I've moved it's been difficult to find a solution I've been comfortable with and then I found DogVacay.com and Chris. It was Chris's first time at hosting dogs and my first time leaving them with someone I didn't know. We met for the first time at a dog park and I felt comfortable with him right away. When the time came for me to bring them to Chris's home, I wasn't concerned about any aspect of their stay with him. My girlfriend was with me and when we left she commented on how calm I was about leaving my "kids" with a stranger. Unusual for me but Chris has a kind, confident persona and genuine love of dogs that put me at ease. When I came to pick them up, they were happy, healthy and not in a big hurry to leave. That speaks volumes! I was presented with a beautiful, matted photograph of my dogs that truly captured their personalities. Not only is Chris a wonderful dog person but a very talented photographer! I will definitely use him again and refer anyone looking for a place for their dogs to stay where there are no kennels or crates needed to Chris. Thanks Chris for helping make my daughters wedding day be my first and only focus.
