For years I have taken care of neighbors' and friends' dogs when they are out of town. They say when they come back their dogs are happy and more well behaved and that is simply because I believe training never stops. I believe in only using positive reinforcement while ignoring unwanted behavior.
I have had customers embarrassed by their dog's hyper and jumping behavior when greeting someone new, and after the second visit have successfully trained them to greet me with all four paws on the ground. And all I simply do is ignore them while they jump and only pet and praise them when they have calmed down and are no longer jumping. Dogs want our love and attention and if we give it to them at the proper times, they will understand what behavior is acceptable in order to receive our affection.
There is no size dog I am uncomfortable with nor age I am not used to caring for. I have a 13 year old senior Golden Retriever named Vodka who needs help standing up and to whom I administer daily pills to. I am also very familiar with puppies and their frequent needs for potty breaks and exercise.
I don't offer to stay overnight at your home since I have a home to get back to and a pup of my own to care for. What I offer for the "House Sitting" option on my profile is two 45 minute visits where I can feed your pets, clean any messes, if any, release them to the yard in order to go to the restroom, or take them on a 15-30 minute walk. If toys are provided I will play fetch, tag, tug of war or any game your pets convince me to join them in.
If you rather have more than 2 visits per day, please choose the "Drop In Visits" on my profile in order for me to go 3-4 times a day or extend the two visits and make them longer if desired.
I send pictures and/or videos every time I visit your home so you may enjoy your trip at ease with knowing your pets are safe and well taken care of.
Rest assured I will love your furry friend as if they were my own and provide them with lots of affection and entertainment.
If you've never booked with DogVacay this is a run down of how it works. Before accepting the booking we will schedule a meet and greet where I will come to your home in order to meet you and your pups. You will guide me through your dog's schedule and needs food/water/medicine. In this meet and greet I will interact with your pup so you may witness if we would be a good match. If so, we will both accept the booking and we'd be all set for your departure. Please note that the meet and greet is totally free of charge with no compromise. If another visit is needed for example to exchange keys before the booking, that will be charged as a drop-in visit.
With me your dog will be safe, loved, and happy. Can't wait to meet you very soon :)
