My name is Adam and my wife and I live on the Upper East Side with our Black Lab, Sadie. I got Sadie in college and she's been by my side for the last 12 years. She is extremely friendly, well-trained, gets along with all dogs and would love some doggie company!
I understand that a dog is like a child and I always keep that in mind when looking after someone else's dog. I grew up walking dogs and have been training all breeds of dog since I was a kid. In fact, when I was between jobs, I worked as an NYC dog walker to make some extra income so pack walks are no problem. We're also DogVacay Community Mentors which means that DogVacay entrusts us to conduct home checks and train new hosts for DogVacay.
Our apartment is a large 1 bedroom and is in a pet-friendly building. We live half a block away from Carl Shultz Park on the Upper East side. 2 dog runs are available, 1 for small breeds and another for larger breeds. Also near Ruppert Park, and 1 mile from Central Park. Being near all those parks means your dog has lots of different places to explore!
Our apartment is also located near the Animal Medical Center 24-hour hospital (in-case of emergency) and the vet we trust with the health of our dog is a few blocks away should anything happen while you are away. We would be happy to provide daily updates for you and am happy to accommodate special requests.
We love all dogs and look forward to dog-sitting for you! Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
