We have extensive experience caring for dogs in our home and we love doing it! We live on a lovely residential street in Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood with our two rescued poodle mixes, Jasper and Jackson. Our building has a big park across the street, not to mention the numerous other parks and Promontory Point just a few blocks away, so there's never a shortage of outside places to go exploring on walks!
We never use crates (unless your dog is more comfortable with one available to them) and we charge prices comparable and more often less than dog boarding facilities that crate your dog at night. Rates are $40 per night for the first dog and $30 per night for the second from the same family. (Multiple dogs can only be taken on a case by case basis - please contact us with questions regarding families with more than two dogs.)
We have experience administering medications, whether they be topical, ingested or intravenous. We also have experience feeding any kind of diet, whether it be kibble, wet, raw, freeze-dried, or a little bit of everything!
Bottom line, we know dogs and we love them. Our goal is to make sure you know your dog is safe and well cared for while you're out of town. We are very quick to respond to all phone calls, text messages and emails and will keep you posted with photos and updates on how your dog is doing while they are staying with us. We also provide flexible pick up and drop off hours for your convenience and can provide transportation if necessary.
Your dog will feel like one of our own when they are staying with us, and hopefully they'll want to come back and see us the next time you go out of town! There's nothing we like more than running into a dog we know in the neighborhood and having them recognize us! Because one of us works days and one works nights, we provide near 24 hour supervision. (Sometimes we like to go out to eat and pretend we have lives outside of our dogs... but it's rare!)
We have a lot of loyal clients and tend to book up quickly, but we always love meeting new dogs and people!
