Our family is here to help with all pets big and small in the South Bay and Santa Cruz Mountains area, including Los Gatos and Scotts Valley. We offer overnight boarding in our home, in-home pet sitting (at your house), doggy daycare, and dog-walking. We can also help with a variety of other pets.
Our house is in the Santa Cruz Mountains, about 10 minutes from Los Gatos and 15 minutes from Scotts Valley. We call it the tree house, although it really isn’t, because we are surrounded by redwood trees. We live in a very dog-friendly neighborhood and our home is a great place for your pet to relax while you’re away. We have lots of space outside and a large deck where the dogs get to lounge around without getting too dirty. We also have several nearby options for dog walks and longer hikes.
I am a very experienced dog owner/trainer/lover. My wife loves to care for small dogs and my 10 yr old daughter is also awesome with animals. We've always had dogs around the house but we currently just have a 2 yr old shichon (shih tzu-bichon frise mix) named “Chloe”, who loves to play with vacay guests. My daughter also has a 10 gallon freshwater fish tank.
In the past I have owned and trained golden retrievers and German short-haired pointers, and I bred my golden “Makenzie” about 10 years ago. I grew up with a variety of other dog breeds: vizsla, pointer, gordon setter, cocker spaniel, and labrador. I love energetic dogs with a lot of play-drive so there is no breed that is “too much” for me to care for. I am very experienced in basic dog obedience and field training. During your pup's stay with us, I am always happy to work on the skills you are teaching at home. On walks, I work on basic obedience skills and leash manners.
In addition to dogs, I have experience caring for a variety of small animals, from hamsters and chinchillas to snakes and lizards. Please don't hesitate to ask. I love all animals and I’m looking forward to getting to know your pets.
Overnight boarding is booked in 24-hour increments. A daycare charge may apply if pick-up occurs after the 24 hour window.
A meet n greet is preferred before booking your dog's first overnight stay, although last minute needs can usually be accommodated.
An additional $20/day surcharge will be applied on the following days: New Year's Eve, New Year's day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
**I'm sorry we can't take 'pit bulls' due to our lease agreement**
