I've been taking care of pets for years, mine and my friends and neighbors. I love dogs, cats, all animals actually.
Dogs love me and I love them. With me, they get exercise, lots of play time, undivided attention, petting sessions, a nice big yard to play in and a willing play partner in our dog Maddie.
On a typical day, after breakfast, we might walk our wonderful West Meade neighborhood or go to a dog park, (with owners approval), then we have afternoon nap time, then it's play time again, this time at home, in the yard.
I'm a semi retired musician and still write, sing and play music, some dogs love to accompany me while I'm playing keyboards and singing.
My wife, Judith, works but when she gets home she enjoys playing with the dogs, walking them and helping me care for them. We're a great pet care team.
We like to keep it simple so we generally only take 2 dogs at most at a time, except for holidays when we may take 3. This way we can give personal attention, love and keep a watchful eye over their activities. Our yard is large enough so they can run, romp and play.
We're very diligent that the lawn crew closes and secures the gate, but since our fence is only 4-5 ft tall we can't accept escape artist dogs that can or tend to jump over that height.
