1. Dina R.
“If I could rate Dina higher than 5 stars I honestly would. This was my first experience with using the Rover app and I am beyond impressed with how above and beyond Dina took care of my little 8-month old pup Olive. Not only did she provide numerous updates with photos and texts with how much fun Olive was having, she also provided feeding updates, morning texts and was held a very open communication throughout the entire visit. Dina welcomed Olive with open arms into her home and I would do it again and again. THANK YOU DINA for taking care of my little Olive!”

About: My dog rescued me 5 years ago when he came into my world and I haven't looked back since. While I may have only been considered a dog mama since 2019, with him having taught me so much about dogs as well as life, I grew up with a dog, who our family had for 18 years, from puppyhood in 2000 until her passing in 2018. I have also occasionally dog sat for close friends and neighbours as well. I work out of town, but when I am in town, I am always available. My calendar will be set up for when I am available, and your pet will be well taken care of during our time together. As I will be caring for your pet in your own home, I will be following any guidelines and requests outlined by you as the pet parent. Your pet's health and safety is of the utmost importance to me.

Pet care seamlessly integrates into my daily and weekly routine for dog or cat sitting, ensuring the well-being of furry companions. As a cat owner myself, each day begins with morning feeding, providing fresh water for and cleaning the litter box. Then a daily walk for days when I care for dogs. Throughout the day, I dedicate time for interactive play sessions, cuddles, and companionship, tailored to the specific needs and preferences of each pet. Regular meal times, bathroom breaks, and medication administration, if required, are scheduled accordingly. Additionally, I maintain a clean and comfortable environment, regularly cleaning litter boxes, grooming pets, and ensuring their space is tidy. Communication with pet owners is vital, providing updates and pictures of their pets' activities and well-being. By seamlessly integrating pet care into my routine, I prioritize the happiness and health of every furry friend entrusted to my care. Safety, trust, and creating a conducive environment are paramount in caring for cats or dogs, whether in my own home or at the client's residence. Here's how I ensure these aspects are upheld: In My Home: Safety Measures: I conduct a thorough pet-proofing of my home, removing any potential hazards and ensuring a secure environment for pets to roam freely. Trust Building: I establish a trusting relationship with the pet through gentle handling, positive reinforcement, and consistent care routines. Environmental Enrichment: I provide a comfortable and stimulating environment with cozy bedding, toys, scratching posts (for cats), and designated play areas to keep them entertained and engaged. Supervision: I maintain constant supervision, especially during interactions with other pets or when exploring outdoor spaces, to ensure their safety and well-being. Communication: I maintain open communication with pet owners, providing regular updates on their pet's activities, behavior, and any concerns that arise. In the Client's Home: Safety Protocols: I adhere to the client's safety guidelines and familiarize myself with the layout of their home, including any restricted areas or potential hazards. Establishing Trust: I build trust with the pet by following their established routines, respecting their boundaries, and providing consistent care and attention. Environmental Adaptation: I create a comfortable and familiar environment for the pet by maintaining their usual feeding, play, and sleeping routines. Home Security: I ensure the security of the client's home by adhering to any specified locking procedures, maintaining cleanliness, and respecting their privacy. Emergency Preparedness: I am prepared for emergencies by having access to emergency contacts, veterinary information, and necessary supplies, such as first aid kits. Overall, whether in my home or the client's, I prioritize the safety, trust, and comfort of the pets entrusted to my care, creating a nurturing environment where they can thrive.

About: I am a force-free certified professional dog trainer (CTC) offering in (my) home dog boarding for dog-social dogs. They will live in my home with me and my family, including two dogs and a cat. I have extensive experience working with behavioural dogs, working in shelter, obedience, sport dog, and puppy training. I am slowly returning from maternity leave and am looking to offer boarding services again. Going away and leaving your loved one doesn't need to be stressful. I offer boarding on a limited basis to ensure they are a good fit for me and my household. Your dog will live in my home with me, and be treated like one of the family. I can accommodate raw fed dogs, and dogs who need any medication. They will receive exercise daily depending on their needs. Please note that no training will be provided during a standard board. Dogs must be crate trained as they will be crated for meals and various other scenarios. A trial night is required for any new clients. I also offer Board & Train services for select dogs and puppies. Please see my website below and ask if you have any additional questions. https://www.starkdogtraining.ca/ I am currently working form home and able to accommodate your dog. There will be times where they are left unsupervised, but contained within my home, but this will not be longer than a couple hours usually. I have a fully fenced back yard to keep your dog safe. I also have two of my own dogs and can accommodate crating and alone time when needed.
