About Rachel

20 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I have a fun, active lifestyle with my 3 year old daughter and my 6 year old pitbull mix. We enjoy walks on Capitol Hill, throwing the tennis ball in an off-leash area at our apartment, and of course, snuggles to wind down the day.

Several of my jobs have been focused around dogs, including a year at an animal hospital and 3 years at a dog daycare and boarding facility. I'm used to caring for 40-50 dogs at once!

I do boarding, daycare, and I can also offer some training and grooming.

Another great stay at Rachel's!
Rachel is awesome. Newton is in good hands with her!
Rachel has been great for Jenny! She watched her for a few days while I was at work. They took a few trips to the park, played with her dog, and ran around with Rachel's adorable daughter. Will definitely work with Rachel again.
Rachel is excellent! Easy to find, easy to communicate with. And, she's got it all handled! It was the first time leaving our puppy and she made me forget it was the first time. Her experience with dogs is very apparent and we recommend Rachel highly!
We left our 5 month old puppy with Rachel for a couple of days, when we were out of town. Setting up the first meeting and the reservation was super easy. Rachel replied to messages very quickly. We were quite anxious since it was the first time we left our dog with someone else, but she updated us daily on what they did during the day. In the end he had lots of fun and we were also able to enjoy vacation. We would definitely recommend her and use her services in the future.
Wonderful experience!
Our pup really took to Rachel, and no wonder. She did a great job showing us how she lets a new dog explore and settle in, and was really accommodating with his silly quirks about car rides.
I recently moved to Seattle and I was worried I wasn't going to be able to find a dog sitter who understands my dogs anxiety and nervous habits (he's a rescue) but Rachel did fantastic!! I am beyond pleased with her services for many reasons!

First of all she is very friendly and her family is just as awesome. Second I was able to book on a short notice AND holiday weekend! Third she immediately sent up a time for us to do a meet and greet before the stay. Fourth she sent daily pictures with a story telling me how they did that day and it was very reassuring, made us more relaxed on our vacation that both of our dogs were being taken care of especially the rescue.

I will definitely be using her again and I highly recommend her for your furry kids!
Rachel took great care of my pup while I was away, she kept me updated with pictures & Jodie returned to me happy & healthy
I recently used Rachel to dog sit for me while I went out of town for a few days. My dog is a little over 14 years old and has to be taken out frequently for potty breaks and receives two pills a day for low thyroid. While I was away, Rachel was great! She sent me a photo of Ginger and sent me text letting me know how she was doing. When I would text Rachel to check on things, she was always so quick to respond. I will definitely use Rachel in the future when I go on my next vacation. My dog seemed to follow Rachel around almost immediately and was happy when I picked her up. =)
Super last minute booking and she was very accommodating. My energetic puppy came back to me tired and happy. Would book again.
Rachel is just the very best! She is great with Lola and makes sure she gets plenty of play time, love and affection. She even accommodates us last minute. Rachel is easy to communicate and sends pictures daily! Treats my baby like her own.
Everything went very smoothly. Buddy had a great weekend with Rachel and her daughter. Thanks!
Rachel was great!
Unfortunately, my puppy had severe diarrhea the day I dropped her off with Rachel… Rachel took great care of my sick pup and sent me regular updates on her condition.
Rachel was awesome! My pup was definitely well cared for and loved while I was away. She stayed in touch via text with little updates, which is always reassuring. I would highly recommend her and plan to use her in the future!
We left our bulldog puppy (10 months old), MacGregor, with Rachel for 6 days over spring break. It was our little guy's first time away from us and his own home. MacGregor became really nervous the first 24 hours and got sick but Rachel was in contact with us throughout and we felt confident that she was handling the situation like a professional. He calmed down after that and had a really great time. I think he especially loved Rachel's dog. We'd leave MacGregor with Rachel again without hesitation.
Rachel watched my pup Mads for a day while we ran around town for meetings. She was great at communicating, lovely to meet and my pup came home happy an exhausted. Thank you Rachel!!
Rachel was great, as usual. Her flexibility saved my vacation from falling apart, and on top of that, I can tell Cooper had a pleasant time as well!
Rachel and family are awesome! My dog is always safe and very happy with her - he barely wants to come home! She's very accommodating/flexible, and great about checking in. We couldn't ask for an easier dog-sitting experience!
Thanks so much Rachel!! I would recommend Rachel to anyone. She was very accommodating with our schedule. If we ever come down to Seattle again we will definitely have Rachel in mind to take care of our pup. : )
Rachel was awesome!

We had a great experience with Rachel and her pet loving family. With a larger dog it's not always easy to find someone. We met the night before for a meet-n-greet and she made entire process super easy; even if it was just leaving Chili for the day. Highly recommend!
Rachel was incredibly nice and took great care of Badger. He was a happy dog when we picked him up after our trip.
Rachel is a great doggie host! She takes wonderful care of Kya, who has stayed with Rachel twice for doggie daycare (and will be returning!) Rachel is clearly knowledgable of dog behavior and takes care when introducing pups into her home. I love receiving photos while I'm at work of Kya hanging out with Rachel's daughter and her dog, Caly. She has also been great about working with Kya's issues - leash reactivity and serious kitty-chasing (and Rachel has a cat!).
