About Danielle

I'm currently only available to watch pets in your home.

I've had dogs my entire life and currently own an affectionate Golden Retriever whose favorite activities are chasing tennis balls and swimming. We always go for our daily walks and on the weekends I like to visit local parks for longer hikes and a change of scenery. I used to live in Wilmington and currently live in Ardmore so I'm familiar with tons of parks throughout the Delaware Valley.

I have a full-time job and work 7-4 Monday thru Friday in the Trolley Square neighborhood of Wilmington. During the week I prefer to stay close to work so I'm able to stop in at lunch to check on and walk the dogs.

I've completed a pet first aid class at the American Red Cross in Philadelphia. I've also raised 3 puppies for the Seeing Eye, which was a great learning experience and very rewarding!

I was so happy to discover Dogvacay for boarding my own dog that I wanted to join in the fun and become a sitter myself. There is no better peace of mind than knowing your pets are being cared for by another animal loving family!

Danielle is the best!
My husband and I were really worried using DogVacay for the first time for a bit of a last minute week long reservation. Danielle went above and beyond as weather challenges including a snowstorm and ice storm came up during the week. She ALWAYS showed up and took such great care of all three dogs! Danielle walk each of them everyday and left our home immaculate. We got picture updates everyday , which really helped put our mind at ease. We will be making a reservation with her again soon. THANK YOU for the great service Danielle, all three dogs miss you!

We always know our dog is safe and loved when we leave our dog with Danielle. Our dog is frieghtened of most people, but he immediately attached himself to Danielle as if he had known her for years. I highly recommend Danielle to anyone who wants a worry-free period of time away from their pet.

Danielle is awesome! I have one mildly agressive dog and she always seamlessly introduces her to her dog, Idan. It's great for my dog because it gives her a little "practice" being nice. Danielle takes the dogs on long daily walks, give lots of belly rubs, and keeps you updated about your animals via email and photos. We decided to extend our vacation by a day at the last minute and Danielle graciously accommodated. She also leaves the house cleaner that when she arrived.

Danielle took great care of Tiffany while we were away for the weekend. She even brought her home for us so she was here waiting when we walked in the door. She sent lots of great updates so we never had to worry.
Danielle was very professional and extremely accommodating. She was attentive to all my instructions and kept me updated on my pet's well being. I trusted her with my home and pet and would not hesitate to use her again. I highly recommend her.
Danielle was beyond wonderful and all my expectations. I knew I had a winner from the moment my dog Teddy, and I arrived at Danielle's home. She knelt down and bonded with Teddy immediately. When she walked him to her door, he never even looked back at me. While Teddy was there she kept me informed with messages and photos, which were very reassuring. She handled a possible medical problem that arose, at a time when she was unable to reach me, in a calm and extremely conscientious manner, by taking Teddy for a veterinary examination, even though it was in the middle of the night. Even though Teddy was ok, she acted in the same way I would have responded and went the extra mile to make sure his labored breathing was not a life threatening event. You can rest easy on your vacation, if your dog is in Danielle's capable care.

For the first time, I felt completely comfortable leaving both my two girls and my home in the care of someone else! Bella and Tali were happy and well-exercised - in fact, not only were they exhausted ("a tired dog is a happy dog!") for the evening of my arrival (a tired dog is a happy owner, too!), but, after Danielle left they seemed to miss her more than they missed me! If there's ever a time that Danielle isn't available to dog-sit, I'll cancel my plans before I look for someone else!

Danielle was amazing! She took such great care of our dogs and went above and beyond with them. I actually wanted to hug her after I picked them up. She spent a ton of time with me before and after their visit to get to know them and then give me feedback. I actually think one of my dogs was sad to be home.
Danielle is a great person and wonderful dog sitter.

We will definitely be looking to have our Buddy stay with Danielle again in the future. Since she has a dog of her own, our pooch got some valuable social interaction that he doesn't often get. She even took the dogs on a walk to Valley Forge - Buddy loves these types of outings.

Buddy sleeps in our bed, and he felt comfortable enough to sleep in hers, something she was generous enough to allow (he's 40lbs). I'm glad I'd just bathed him that week!

Yet another great thing Danielle did was offer to come pick up Buddy from our house (we don't live far from hers) Friday evening after we'd left for a camping trip earlier that afternoon. This was way more convenient than an early Friday A.M. drop-off at her place. This simply required meeting the night before to give her a key, and we had no qualms about it because we immediately felt at ease with her.

In short, Danielle was kind, professional, and went above and beyond.

Danielle was absolutely amazing! We had a lot of travel snafus; Danielle was super flexible and was even able to stay longer with no advanced notice. We have one dog who is a bit aggressive when she meets new animals and Danielle was able to easily get her acclimated with her dog and was willing to take her on walks -- something that other dog sitters in the past have not been confident enough to do. We will definitely be calling again in the future!
