For the last six years I've raised, fostered and adopted dogs. I even work with an animal non-profit! I raised one of my dogs from a small pup and just recently adopted a hairy mutt from a local non-profit after only fostering her for two weeks. I remember begging my best friend growing up to let me go next door and play with her neighbor's golden retriever. She even once made me a binder decorated in dog photos accompanied by a coffee mug emblazoned with a dog head. In short, I'm a dog lover. Nay, I need dogs to live. Which is strange since my parents only ever gave us cats as kids, but I'm not bitter. Joke's on them! Now I get to pick dog hair off of my clothes at work!
Your dog will enjoy a stay at Casa de Melody and get to know my two dogs, Ginger and Pepper, affectionately dubbed The Spice Girls. They'll playfully welcome your furball as part of the pack and be sure to show where the treats are kept. I do have a fully gated small parking lot that I feel free enough to let my dogs play in off-leash, but would be hesitant to bring a new dog out that way unless you felt comfortable enough in doing so. Otherwise, the pups will be pack-walked or taken to Swiss Avenue Dog Park to stretch their puppy legs! If your senior pup is good with stairs, by all means bring them! I also require that each dog booked be up to date on shots and be neutered or spayed, unless the dog is not of age. This is for the safety of your dogs and mine!
I look forward to meeting you and your dog!
