About Pamela

13 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
We are a family with a strong love, respect, and affinity for all animals, especially dogs. We are blessed with the companionship of a twelve year old yellow Labrador Retriever, Ripley, a four year old black female shelter cat, Lyla, and even a Bearded Dragon who answers to Cosmo. We are excited for the opportunity to open up our warm and loving home to your dear companion. We like to think of it as the next best thing to your home when you are on the road. We have always tried to bring Ripley with us on trips, but there have always been occasions where that simply wasn't possible or practical. To us, finding someone to take care of her who we felt could love her almost as much as we do, was paramount in our minds, and that is the promise we make to you when you leave your faithful family member with us. Please know that we will always strive to provide the attention, care, and love to your special dog. Our love for dogs has even motivated Andy to volunteer at the animal shelter to help socialize, exercise, and make the dogs that he has cared for more adoptable.

So having said that, we happily welcome dogs of all make and model, large or small, young or old, male or female, or pure breed or our happy home. Our home has a medium size yard and pool if the dogs prefer a cool dip. it is also a one story house that makes it easy for elderly dogs to get around. A typical day includes a morning walk and a nicely prepared breakfast. Depending on the energy level, playtimes will usually be in the late morning, afternoon and evening. Also another walk in the evening before dinner is served. At night we begin the wind down process with some relaxation either with a movie or hanging out with our furry friends outside. Please don't hesitate to inquire further or even to set up a preliminary meet and greet, if that is helpful to you to fully evaluating our qualifications, temperament, and commitment to taking the best care of your loved one possible, on those occasions when you can't have that loved one with you.

This was the 1st time we used a service like this. As we felt that our current dog would not do well in a traditional boarding facility. We have nothing but great things to say about the overall experience and would highly recommend Pamela H. and her family. You and your dog would not be disappointed.
Pamela was great! She was attentive, communicated frequently and was flexible with pick up and drop off!!
We left our two dogs Sadie (Cocker Spaniel) and Penny (German Shepard) with Pam and Andy for a week while we were on vacation. The girls met Ripley there resident host dog and were great with her. Since both of our dogs are rescues and have not been separated from us before, we were worried that they would feel like they were being abandoned again. Pam and Andy kept us up to date on how they were doing daily and sent pics. Sadie had some separation anxiety for a couple of days but Pam and Andy kept giving her lots of love and attention, and got Sadie to perk up few days later. By the end of the week both girls had acclimated and were playing along the other dogs that they had there. We will definitely bring our girls back on our next vacation.
