My family moved from a farm four years ago to a quiet neighborhood in Beaverton. We have experience with lots of different animals including pigs, sheep, llamas, chickens, cats and dogs. When we moved, our two dogs came with us. Our gentle giant Great Dane named "Bono" and our happy Border Collie named "Max." We lost both our dogs to old age, 15 and 11 and we are missing having our babies around. We do have four chickens in an enclosed area (Blackie, Buttercup, Chocolate Chip and Carmel). They keep us entertained and in eggs.
Our fenced yard is nice and open with lots of grass to play fetch or roll around in. The yard has a good amount of shade which is super nice on hot days. The interior of our house is tidy and homey. The living room is an open space where the pups can curl up for a nap or play tug of war. Whatever their hearts desire.
I am a stay at home mom with a 7 year old attending 1st grade, so there is drop off and pickup and some after school activities in our day. If we do leave the house, we will crate your pup for that short period of time, so crate training is a must. My husband has a somewhat flexible work schedule, where he can jump in and help out as needed. Your pet will enjoy a nice walk in our neighborhood or surrounding trails depending on what your dog prefers. There are a couple dog parks close by and we can talk about that being a possibility as well.
Your dog is part of our family when they stay with us. They will be loved and cared for like one of our own pets. Since we do have a young child, we will not be able to take aggressive dogs. Please no Pit Bulls, Akitas or Chow Chows. Also, please no dogs with destructive behaviors and or separation anxiety. If you have any special requests for your dog, we will do our best to accommodate.
If your pup in one year and under, there is an extra $5 per stay charge.
