About danielle

I have a one bedroom apartment in Brooklyn, NY across the street from the Brooklyn Museum and couple blocks away from Prospect Park. My home is very comfortable with lots of natural light and room to relax. Living so close to the park makes it really convenient to stroll through the grassy hills with the pups.

When booking a stay with me I provide your pup with three walks per day, playtime, and a lot of love. I bake homemade treats as long as it's ok with the owner's permission.

My goal is to create a safe, comfortable haven for our canine companions.

If you have any special requests I am willing to provide the best service possible, so please inquire!

This was our first time using DogVacay and we couldn't of asked for a better host with Danielle. After meeting with her we felt very comfortable having her take care of our little guy. He has some issues with separation anxiety, especially in a new place, and she handled the whole thing really well (which helped my own anxiety!). She clearly has a lot of experience with all types of dog personalities. Her home was cozy, comfortable, and close to the park which Wally loves. Overall a great experience!

Danielle is the best and quelled all my concerns with leaving my loved one behind while I was away. She is clearly a dog person and connected with Hova instantly. Her apartment is in a great location for walks and going to Prospect Park, which is a huge plus. If you're looking for someone to watch your pup while you're away - look no further, Danielle is clearly the best out there!

On another note, she also makes some awesome organic, locally sourced dog food that my dog absolutely loves, and I'm happy knowing he's getting a healthy, balanced diet. Ask her for more info!!!

Fantastic. Felt safe leaving Alfie with Danielle. It's a shame we've moved to California....
What a relief it was to find Danielle! We couldn't have wished for a kinder person to care for our 2 brussels sprouts whilst we were away. A true natural with dogs - Danielle has a wonderful sense of ease & calm about her. Her home is lovely and in a great location being so close to Prospect Park for nice walks. We certainly keep Danielle in mind for any future trips away and will recommend her to other friends with dogs!

Great host, took wonderful care of our dog Laney and totally met our expectations! Sent pictures every day, which was really nice. Even handed Laney off to a different sitter at the end and was very flexible, organized, and accommodating. Thanks!
I had a trip that was coming up and needed someone that would be able to care for my pup while I was gone. After reading the reviews I contacted Danielle and setup a meet and great. She was professional, nice and was very helpful to a first time dog owner in regards to how things go with these type of things. What really sold me the fact that she was attentive to my puppy's needs in terms of directions, feeding schedule, how many walks he needed, etc. I called her when I arrived at the airport and was on the way to pick up my pup and she was nice enough to walk him so he wouldn't make a mistake in the car. Setting up for success? WINNING. I would recommend Danielle and would use her services again. For some reason I can't click on the 5 stars but I would give her a 5 stars hands down.

I was knocking at the knees. Due to unexpected care issues (Miles' aunt was unable to care for him as planned), I came to DogVacay in a last minute panic. It was almost inconceivable to me that I would drop my little guy off with a total stranger, but there you go. And wow. Danielle, from the get go, was amazing. Her home was warm and open (as was her own gorgeous pooch) and Miles was immediately at sniffing ease.

In this first run out, he stayed with Danielle an entire week and he was happier than he is with me. :) Danielle sent me photos (beautiful ones, I might add) throughout the day, text messages and basically made me feel totally relaxed and at ease.

This was a huge, huge, amazing thing to find online and Danielle honestly could not be a surrogate dog mommy. I don't even want to write this review because I fear that she will become so popular, I'll never be able to reunite her and Miles again.

Our first DogVacay experience was Danielle- and Bergen was in for such a treat! Danielle and her pup Boci took such great care of Bergen, we didn't hesitate for a minute. Not to mention, I'm pretty sure Bergen scored some really delicious treats while she was there-- what a bonus!

Danielle took great care of Murray and was very flexible if I needed to work late or if the subways were spotty. Murray came back happy and very tired every night.
We really can't say enough about Danielle and her affectionate and serious care. I think this says it all: when I took my dog back to her place to pick up some toys we'd forgotten, she (the dog) was wagging her tail and pulling me to get to Danielle's door. And she's not like that with just anyone. We'll be boarding/vacaying our dog with Danielle again and again, without the slightest hesitation. Thank you, Danielle.

Danielle was great and so flexible keeping Alfie when we were stranded in London due to Hurricane Sandy. Alfie seemed well and unfazed and Danielle sent us pictures of Alfie during his stay. Will definitely use Danielle to look after Alfie again.
I can't say enough good things about Danielle. Our dog Oliver has stayed with Danielle on 4 different occasions now and we will continue use her again and again! I know that Oliver is loved and well taken care of by Danielle so I'm at total ease when I'm away.

Danelle is such a great host and was very attentive to Fifty as this was his first time away from us for more than a day. She texted us every day and sent pix of Fifty during his stay. She even contacted us when it seemed like Fifty was missing us and totally accomodated us with our pick-up schedule. She is the best and we fully trust us with our four-legged son!

Danielle exceeded my expectations in caring for my dog while I was away. I was very nervous leaving him with a stranger for the first time, and she took the time to meet with me twice to ease my worries, talking through all details of care, his personality, etc. While I was away she sent me photo updates each day, sometimes 2-3 times a day. When I returned to pick up my dog, he was in a very happy state. I will definitely use Danielle again.

Danielle is a great host! This was a repeat visit for Myles and he loves staying with Danielle. It's nice to go away and know that he's being treated like part of the family. He'll be back. :)
Danielle was awesome! My pups had a great time staying wil her, and with her updates I didn't have to worry at all. It was definitely a doggy vacation they will be looking forward to having again!
Seems like Lilly had a blast. Lots of walks, and special homemade treats! We'll be back.
Danielle and Baci are great!! Our dog Oliver had a trial sleepover and he will be returning again in a few weeks for a longer stay. Danielle sent pictures and text throughout the day and when I went to pick Oliver up, she was very thorough about how Oliver did and what their schedule was like. I definitely felt at ease and so relieved that I found a reliable and trustworthy person to watch our dog whenever I'm away.

Danielle is a wonderful host. My Dachshund had a great initial overnight and I'm sure he'll be back soon. He got lots of TLC and was treated like one of the family. Danielle is very responsive, warm and a great communicator -- which made me totally at ease leaving my little guy in her care. Thank you!

Once again, a fabulous experience with Danielle. She has my highest recommendation.
Danielle was a wonderful dog sitter. Our meet-n-greet made me feel instantly at ease with the idea of her taking care of my 2 year old chihuahua mix, Mandy. Danielle proved herself to be a relaxed, but knowledgeable dog-lover (she laughed when my precious little demon immediately peed on her very nice rug, saying that Mandy was just marking her territory and it happens all the time). When I picked up Mandy, she was still having a great time playing with her other dog-friends and wasn't at all traumatized by our time apart. Once I got over my hurt feelings by that realization, I knew that I would definitely use Danielle's services again.

I really enjoyed the whole experience with Danielle. Cooper seemed worn out
and happy when I picked him up! I can't wait to use Danielle again, although I'm pretty sure
anyone in the neighborhood would do :)

Danielle's home was really tidy and she was so calm and sweet, I knew
Cooper would love being around her. She definitely put my mind at ease the
moment I met her.
