About Kim

18 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I'm a life long dog lover. I recently lost my 17 year old Husky-Retriever, Wiley who was my constant companion for 16 years. Although I'm not ready to adopt another, I do miss having a furry friend. I will treat your precious pup like a member of the family.

There will never be more than one dog staying at a time(with the exception of siblings) so yours will get the personalized attention they deserve. I work from home so they will not be alone for any long stretches of time.
I enjoy the outdoors, a good game of catch and walks in the park. However, if your pooch is more the pampered, lounging type I can easily be talked into watching Animal Planet.

Please note, a surcharge of $10 per night will be added during major holiday weekends.

Thank you for viewing my profile and be sure to follow me on instagram at doghouseofbrooklyn.

Kim is fantastic! She has been taking care of our 11-week old Golden Retriever puppy (no small task), who loves her and her place! She sends pictures of the pup during the day, something my husband and I really appreciate, and she has been working on training him in line with our training regime. I highly recommend Kim!!
My sensitive Staffordshire Terrier loved staying with Kim. She only watches one dog at a time, so very attentive and understanding with any doggy issue.
Me and my dog Zelda are so happy we found Kim! She is very nice to Zelda, always keeping me updated during my dog's stay. I'm looking forward to my dog's next stay with Kim!
My dog loves going to Kim's house :-) and she is a persnickety pup.
I was relieved when Kim took in stride a fairly over-the-top entrance to her apartment by Ezma, our 4/1/2 year old pitbull. But Ezma settled in nicely, and Kim clearly knew how to manage her walks (avoiding other dogs and, if possible, cats and squirrels). When I picked her up, she had been dozing on the couch, feeling relaxed and at home.
This was Ezma's first boarding experience, and we were relieved that it worked out so well!
Gus had a great time with Kim! Gus came home totally relaxed and nicely worn out from all of Kim's long walks. We will definitely contact Kim for future stays.
Kim was Excellent! She took care of our 2 month old Bichon and even sent us great photos. We were extremely satisfied and will be a returning client. Thank you Kim.
Kim is the best! She is so kind and patient with our elderly dog Suki. We trust Kim completely and feel totally at ease when we need to travel because we know Suki is well loved and looked after. Not only that but I swear our house is neater after Kim leaves than before! She's a total gem.
Kim did a great job providing day care to my 2 dogs. Obviously understood dogs very well, even suggesting she watch the dogs alone (it was going to be her and someone else originally) at my place instead of hers, to reduce their anxiety. Happy dogs when I got home; Kim is a great dog sitter!
Kim is excellent. She worked with us to best accommodate our Henri, who has separation anxiety and hates to be left alone for too long. Kim kept her from going crazy that we left the house.

I would totally recommend using Kim to watch your pup. Henri was well taken care of.
Kim was great with my little Dobby! He stayed with her for daycare and she sent me lots of great pics of his fun-filled day. When he got home he passed out and did not wake up until the next morning!
Kim is a great sitter! My boy Milo loves her. She does a great job keeping me up to date and sending me pics and any time I need a sitter Kim is my first choice!
It would be impossible to express how awesome Kim was with our 2 (old) rescue dogs. We adopted our girls nearly 3 years ago, and have never left them alone since. They had both been abandoned, and we were so worried they would feel abandoned again. But my partner is from Australia, and we were long overdue for a family visit. We had already postponed the trip a few times because we just couldn't bear to leave them for so long (3 weeks!) We couldn't put it off again.

I loved Kim's profile & photos. When I contacted her, she put me at ease immediately, and I could tell right away that she was the perfect fit...and very quick to respond and reliable! (Frankly, we hadn't booked our flights at that point, and planned to work around her schedule just so we could get her!) We met twice before our trip, first for the meet & greet, and a bit after that she came over to our place to hang out with the girls. I had absolutely no doubts that she would look after them (and love them) like they were her own.

While we were away, we received updates & amazing photos nearly every day for 3 weeks. The girls looked so relaxed and content. We never wondered if they were doing okay. Kim made our trip 100% stress-free!

While we were away, one of our dogs obviously became very attached to Kim - we've found her sniffing around the apartment, under blankets, etc. more than once! We hope to book Kim for a dog walk (soon!) just to snap her out of it :-)
In one word, amazing. Kim is positively amazing and I trust her implicitly with my treasured little Cavalier.
Kim is so sweet and loving with our little dog. He is always very excited to see her.
Even when we told her our dog will have to start taking medication she did not hesitate and was very accommodating to his (and our )needs. A plus he always comes home smelling fresh and has his food bowl clean. Thank you!
Kim is the best!
One word - amazing!
I wish I had the heart to give Kim a poor rating so that she would always be available. Because she is awesome. We are new to NYC and no idea what to do with our new adopted puppy to attend a family reunion. I found Kim on here and it was the best decision we ever made. She is awesome. We will likely plan our vacations around Kim's schedule, as long as she wants our crazy puppy again!! I can't say enough good things about her!! We love her and more importantly our puppy Layla lover her!!
As always, A+.
Kim is a repeat host for our dog, Parker. She is always accommodative and provides ample picture updates whenever we're away. Highly recommended!
We had a fantastic experience with Kim. She is truly a dog person, and I knew she would take great care of our Prince the moment we met her. Kim provided us with picture updates which we really appreciated. Prince was tired and happy when we picked him up. We'll definitely ask Kim for more vacays in the future. Thank you Kim!!
Kim was great with Baxter, as always. Will definitely ask her to care for him again!
We are so happy we found someone as amazing as Kim to look after our little pup. We were a bit nervous leaving him with a sitter for so many days, but Kim made us feel comfortable right away with her daily text updates with adorable pictures.
We were so impressed we asked her right away to sit for our next vacation.
Thank you, Kim!!!!
My dog usually gets depressed when we go out of town and it's been rough in the past. She loves going to Kim's house! It's such a relief to know that she is happy and well taken care of.
It's never easy leaving your pup with someone else but with Kim, I felt at ease. I knew he would be well taken care of, comfortable, safe and loved for the week I was away. And sure enough, he was. Kim made sure to keep me posted throughout the day about how he was doing. Aside from making sure he was OK, she was super responsive and thorough. I'd definitely leave my pup in Kim's care again. Thanks so much!
Kim was fantastic in watching Nova. This was the second time Nova vacay'd with Kim and she is very comfortable there. She sent frequent updates and pictures of Nova and took her out on multiple long walks.
Kim was also terrific in accommodating my pregnant wife in helping her pick up Nova which we both really appreciated. We will definitely have Nova vacay there again!
Kim is excellent! She is accomadating, communicative, and reliable. We have a very high strung Chihuahua who doesn't take well to most people, but immediately took to Kim. She has a very calm demeanor. We are thrilled to have someone we can trust with our dogs and who genuinely cares about animals. We already have her booked for our next outing. We highly recommend!
We would definitely use her again! She took such good care of our dog. Kept us posted with lots of pics and notes! It was a great experience, I was put at ease right away after we left.
Kim was absolutely fantastic with my pup! She provided a daily update just to let me know things were still going very well and sent pictures of Baxter enjoying his stay. She asked all the right questions during the meet-n-greet so that she had all necessary information before I left him with her. She apologetically messaged with only one question that showed genuine concern for my dog's unique eating habits.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kim and would definitely leave Baxter in her care the next time he needs company while I'm away.
Wonderful hosts!
Kim was a great sitter. She was very easy to coordinate with and flexible on timing. She sent pics during the vacay and clearly took great care of my pup. I will certainly ask her again next time I leave town. Thanks again Kim!
Sorry, I did write before.... Kim and Roddick was a great match! I felt very comfortable leaving him.
I received a lot of funny, cozy pictures of him and he looked really happy!
Kim lost her 16 year old pup some month ago and just knowing that she had a lot of experience made me feel very safe. I can recommend Kim any time. She is great with dogs.
