I recently graduated from Michigan (c/o 2016) and as any other warm hearted person, I love dogs. I had one growing up from 6-14 years of age and he passed away. However, I have had a dog in the house again, since 2010, but the owner is not myself and I don't live at home, so I long to have time with dogs again!
Besides owning a dog myself, I have experience volunteering at PAWS (Chicago, IL) a No-Kill animal shelter and though I am no expert, that taught me so much about not only proper handling of dogs and their needs, but also about the psyche of dogs, how they display their emotions and things to look for/what the signs can mean.
I usually work 3-4 days a week, so I have nothing but free time on the days I'm not (I pick my schedule biweekly). I frequent places like the Nichols Arb, a nature reserve (great place to spend time outside with your dog!) and go for walks/runs often.
I look forward to spending time and loving on your pet while you do what you need to do. Dogs are my spirit animal, so they'll have fun in the Dog House.
