My life has been full of caring for rescues and family pets. I have had several dogs over the years from a German Shepard,, to a Cairn Terrier and Lab mix and my current dog a rescue that is part schnauzer/dachshund and a real ball of energy. Additionally, he was a leash puller and aggressive to other animals on our walks which I have curbed using a great collar that gives me more control and does not hurt his neck. I have also trained him to do a few tricks but he is very stubborn and put his paw down when I tried teaching him agility.
I once took in a friends lab/terrier mix that was 13. My friend was leaving the country and didn't want to put down her dog so I took the dog. Her name was Midnight but she was so timid that I called her Minnie Mouse. I discovered she was deaf and I taught her hand signals. She became more outgoing and friendly. She lived with me until she passed. She lived to be 19.
I have taken care of my daughters two dogs, a 112 lb. Lab and a husky mix for many years. They know I am the "Granny'
I love all dogs in general and love giving them the attention they deserve.
