I have loved dogs ever since I was a young kid, but never had dogs growing up, although sometimes my parents would agree to sit a neighbor's dog. I started rescuing 7 years ago and have had two of my own dogs. I have experience with old dogs, puppies, large, and smaller breed dogs. I know how to administer medication and deal with medical problems such as hip displasia, deafness, and cancer.
Recently I started my own rescue and have been fostering dogs from high kill shelters and finding them homes. I also volunteer at the Westside German Shepherd Rescue, working as an applicant screener and dog walker/handler. I have also walked and fostered dogs for Go Dog Safe Paws, and work closely with Much Love Animal Rescue.
My boyfriend works from home, and I have a full-time job, but it's close enough that I come home for lunch, so the dogs would be under constant care.
I live with my boyfriend in a spacious two-story loft, and we are always sitting someone's dog! We also have a spacious balcony where dogs love to sit at, and stare at the pool below. My building is secure and dog friendly, with an elevator in case your dog doesn't like to take the stairs (or is just too lazy to) I live a few blocks from the La Brea tar pits park, which is where I often walk the dogs.
