My husband and I LOVE dogs. So much so, that I started a business making organic dog shampoo because I believe it matters to their health and well-being. I have since moved on from the dog shampoo business (RIP Naked Petcare), however my husband and I would love to keep these loving, amazing animals in our lives. We can't commit to having our own dog right now, which is why we are turning to DogVacay. We are happy to wash your pup with our own organic dog shampoo if so desired! It's an organic, hypoallergenic formula that is great for the skin and coat (coconut oil and lavender essential oil are two key ingredients).

We loved having our dog Lula stay with Tara and Jonny! Tara was super communicative with us in advance, answered our reservation request very quickly, and sent us nice pictures of Lula throughout her stay. We felt very comfortable and secure knowing Lula was there. When I picked her up she was a happy and smiley dog. Definitely recommend them.
Tara was the best! She was easy to get in touch with and so loving to our pup, Leo! She sent regular text updates and was really flexible about drop off/pick up. Leo came home relaxed and happy. We would definitely book with her again and again.

My schedule is such that I work in Soho Monday through Thursday, and from home most Fridays. We therefore are only opening up our home to furry guests on Fridays and over the weekend so that we can provide them with ample attention and walks in the park nearby (Fort Greene Park).

As for our experience, we both grew up in homes with dogs, and we had our own dog as well before moving "up north" for work and grad school. We adopted our dog, Theo, shortly after we were married, and he has since been taken in by my husband's parents and subsequently spoiled rotten by them.
