To all dog lovers,
* Repeat clients please do not take calendar in consideration, send me an inquiry for your dates.
Taking care of someone else dog is a PRIVILEGE and RESPONSIBILITY I do not take lightly. I am a firm believer in "communication is KEY" . The more I know about your pooch the better I can care for him/her.
** We call it a day early at Camp Sylvie, if you are contacting me after 9pm I may not reply to you till 5 am.
My place is ideal to socialize young dogs and older ones. They receive 24/7 supervision. My husband George and I love dogs, we offer dogs a den feeling that brings them a sense of security and comfort. We get out of the den often to lounge on the deck, run and play in the yard and stroll in the neighborhood. We have a gorgeous, huge park very close by that we like to visit every day and many trails to hike if that is OK with you.
I have been pet-sitting dogs full time since 2006 in the Newport Beach/Costa Mesa area where I lived for 16 years. I also have been grooming dogs since 1992. I was born with dogs, cats and birds surrounding me.
I moved to San Pedro 2 years ago. My apartment is located behind a residential house, above my garage and my laundry room. Where I continue to pet-sit for my clients of Newport Beach/Costa Mesa. I have my own private backyard, it is 600 square feet, fenced off with a 6' tall brick wall, locked gates and a gated deck. I am a stay-at-home pooch mom.
My daily activities are dog walking, gardening, cooking, reading, playing Ukulele, dog grooming (only the dogs I pet-sit) and bird watching. I am always working on some project to beautify my immediate environment, I enjoy restoring stuff.
I am certified with the Red Cross for Dog CPR.
I know how to administer insulin shots and medications if needed. My veterinarian showed me how to care for my little diabetic Schnauzer some years ago. I also had several clients, cats and dogs to which I was giving and still am, insulin shots.
I studied canine massage and I am a certified groomer.
A Meet-n-Greet prior to your departure is best for all involved, even for a last minute booking.
For the well being of your dog, my dog and my guest dogs, it is important that your pet be on a flea treatment program and have received vaccinations or titer test.
Please contact me for more information. When sending me a request please include the time you will need to drop off your dog and the time you will be picking him/her up on the last day. Thank you, I am looking forward to hear from you.
