I'm a life-long animal lover who's recently moved into an apartment with a yard and that is also near a pretty happening dog park!
My neighbor is a DogVayCay host and recommended I try it as well.
My experience: I had a dog for a very long time before she passed and I babysit other dogs (see photos of recent doggy guests) for friends and family.
I have a (declawed and very sweet, see pic) cat so the dog must be feline friendly and not too big, as my apartment is small. Housebroken, please.
They will be walked/exercised 2-3 times a day, I can administer medication, can follow special dietary instructions and of course provide lots of belly rubs (if that's their thing) in a clean, fun environment.
I'll let your baby roam my apartment freely (I don't run a kennel!) but PLEASE note I ask that you bring along a crate or carrier of some kind just in case! I've found them to be very helpful acclimating visitors to my space, me and of course, my sweet feline. Some doggies get anxious in new spaces and they help a lot!
Its best that we meet beforehand to if see your pet will be comfy in my environment and with me. Being away from family is hard and pets deserve to be in a place and with people they trust.
If you're away for the "howl-idays", a long weekend, on business, etc. and want to place your best friend with a responsible and good caregiver, please reach out!
