My partner and I have a beautiful sunny dog-friendly house with a fenced in yard. We are a short walk from Harvard & Central and the T. Easy on/off access to the Pike, if you're driving.
We recently renovated the house and added dog-friendly features, like a built in 'dog cave' in the kitchen, a large (for the city) fenced in yard so we can just open the front door and let the dogs frolic. The front door has a low window so the dogs can advise us when they're ready to come in and a deck off the second floor for the dogs to hang out and watch the neighborhood action. (see photos)
We have two super friendly labs who love making new friends. The house is big with plenty of places for dogs to lounge, play and sleep. And the fenced in yard means the dogs can go outside unleashed at will. We work from home so someone is always here to keep them entertained
We will happily give your dog a bath during their visit, let them sleep on the couches or beds of their choice. And send you photos, texts and/or plan a nightly skype so you can check in with them.
Because there are lots of stairs and two large playful labs, our home is not well-suited for toy or small dogs. We also do not accept pit bulls or other dogs who may not be friendly when their masters are away.
Other than that, we love dogs and invite yours to stay with us so you may have a stress-free vacation.
